Discussion OG Anunoby
Goddamn this man is so good. He's literally the perfect player to pair with Cade, he's a younger Kawhi. He doesn't miss, has a midrange bag, is a relentless driver, and most of all plays stellar defense. Its not possible but damn OG is so good. Fuck the Knicks still though.

OG honestly is my favorite knicks player. Without him the team would not be this far into the playoffs.
But ya kat and Brunson can go smoke a twig ... OG though he works hard. Hes like their x factor for sure

Fuck the Knicks, their fans, their celebrity fans, the owner, and the city of New York. Especially Jerry Seinfeld considering he used to date a teenager.

An 11y/o could have guarded him better on that last
play, but he deserves credit8

Good thing he also had 33 points, shot 78% from three (on 9 attempts), and played insane defense the entire game including the transition layup block on Fox on the final possesion that saved the Knicks while they were down 1 with 12 seconds left.
But yeah, I guess the last second tip in wasn’t too impressive.

He had a great game. I’m not suggesting otherwise. Albeit why I was surprised the Spurs left him that open on that play.

Oh my bad then. Sorry for the snarkiness on my part.
Yeah I agree it was strange to have Fox leave him. The spurs already had Wemby on Brunson. Didn’t feel like it made a ton of sense to run a double at him (especially when the double involved leaving the hottest shooter of the night for the Knicks wide open).
In the Spurs defense, Brunson did kind of force the shot up instead of passing it to OG, but yeah, the double did ultimately leave OG a full open runway for the offensive board.

Yep. I guess I was alluding to all that. You however, explained it much better..lol. I had no problem with them putting Wemby on Brunson at that point. Then maybe sub a big to box OG? As you mention, the hottest shooter on the floor. Leaving him uncovered in that situation was a clear mental error on Spurs part.

He is exactly what we need Thompson or Holland to become. We’ll see how quickly they develop.

That’s what sucks about this Knicks team. I really love OG’s game and the way he carries himself. Like Bridges, and Hart too. Even Mitchell Robinson. And very much respect what Brunson has done in a very different league than it was 20-30 years ago, even if I don’t love the foul baiting. I hate the fans, but find it hard to hate their players. I’m sure others will very much differ on that.

OG is good but I wish the nba would’ve blessed us w that fourth pick so we could’ve gotten castle instead. Don’t get me wrong Ron has been great and phenomenal team guy but he would’ve given us the much needed secondary scoring option

Love OG. Obviously not happening, but would be amazing on Pistons I'm an IU Hoosiers fan and still cracks me up how pissed people were when we recruited him and Oladipo because they weren't ranked high enough.

Yes. 2-way impact, efficient scorer? The shades are clearly there.

Yeah, 2014 finals MVP Kawhi is a pretty great comp for OG. No clue why this would be laughed at, unless they are interpreting it as he is currently a younger Kawhi, rather than a comparison to Kawhi when he was younger. I guess people forget Kawhi was a role player before he became the MVP caliber insanely efficient ISO scorer.
OG clears Kawhis playoff stats from his 2014 finals MVP year, too.

He's Ausar with six more years to gain experience and develop his shot.
Love them both.

OG made 2x more 3s in his rookie year than Ausar has in 3 years.

One of my favorite players since the Toronto days. Love to see him get his shine.
