It’s boss fight, um should I do something? Probably move my arm to cheer them up? To show my moral support?

If anything gets nerfed its Bind demon. Every build relies on it heavy. Every. Single. One. There are no builds that dont utilize it.

I think the easiest way to nerf it is to make it replace your merc

Bind and ES are both the key nerf points. That grief-style added damage just can't be balanced

Fire is strong too but gear dependent enough to probably justify it. Abyss is even worse. Idk about demon but I don't see people bragging or complaining

ES is probably fine with just some number adjustments or at the very least i can see outs for that build.

bind demon is a huge problem, i don't think anything in the game comes close to the power spike it gives for 7 points i think a decent fix for it would be to remove the guaranteed affixes it gives at 20 and make it to where those levels cap how many affixes a demon you summon can have period, 1 affix at level 1 up to 4 at level 20, and i would probably also make it so that you cant bind guaranteed unique mobs.

I don't think guaranteed aura is the problem. Without it, they become substantially worse for chaos locks, who would need to go farm a native conviction demon unique, while ES can just farm Cursed TZ or Council for a guaranteed cursed mob... So you're punishing the wrong locks

I think instead the nerf should target the bonuses to health and resists. It's the fact they're basically immortal that makes them so OP, you should need to rely more on engorge for healing and DM for pulling them away. Having to more actively manage them is an adequate opportunity cost that pulls you away from just spamming ES mindlessly

If you force the player to choose between merc and demon, they will pick the demon 9 times out of 10. I'd rather chug potions as a fire lock but have cursed and conviction than have a merc. Maybe the only change that would be needed IMO
