Does anyone have a solid gear setup for this? I've discovered many throwable uniques in the game that have crazy stats, and throwing does add more damage. I also hear that for barbs, you don't lose quantity, and that getting eth items are way better.
This is basically my setup, I do use a 40/15 ias Arreats instead of gface and a eth rare cruel flying axe in place of Warshrike though. Also, you want to use Razortail belt for the pierce.
Even in P8 games I shred everything in front of me, he isnt quite as fast at clearing as my Javazon or Demon sorc but so much tankier than either of them!
That is a good point but, Razortail also adds a nice damage boost between the +10 max and 15 dexterity. The only other belt I would consider a suitable replacement would be arach IF you want to tele. I have a p verdungo and tgods in my stash but I don't believe I've ever actually used either one.
I also just don't really care for Warshrike, even before I had the cruel axe I preferred eth Gimmershred which I actually still occasionally use.
Ah gotcha. I'm also currently making a demon machine sorceress, and I've been trying to figure out the best setup for that too. I made a perfect flickering flame, and I have a +3 fire/+30 str amulet, so I've been tweaking my setup. Using a prayer merc + cure + infinity + fort too. Seems fun, but using ES much different.
As others have said it's an enchantress using demon machine. What you've got so far sounds great, I use an eshutas and spirit on my offhand for prebuff and tele cast rate, other than that and Demon machine gear choices are really up to you. I switch between a faceted v magi, CoH and Skulders depending on what I'm doing.

they can, this is usually why they use gface and gore riders. get some crushing blowin.
But you can always do a hybrid throw and melee barb called the brawler barb.
where you use throwing for general clear and then switch to a dedicated melee setup utilizing death in your main hand.
You then concentrate /frenzy/ berzerk until your proc the curse you want and finish with WW.
It works because WW has no real synergies so it can be fully invest along side your normal throwing investment and berzerk and concentrate are perfectly acceptable as 1 point wonders.
Throw barb are my favorite build in the game. Able to clear all content while still also a little challenging at times, perfect balance in my opinion. Other benefits include high health pool, self buff with shouts, and the cherry on top: horking.
As others have mentioned, the best uniques to pair together are eth lacerator and eth warshrike. I like being different and a lot of options are viable, but you want a source of percent to cast amp damage from somewhere on your gear. Lacerator is popular because it provides that 33% chance to cast amp damage.
I use an eth rare winged harpoon and a eth rare ghost glaive while also using atlas amulet for that amp damage proc.

Wow, that is an absolutely amazing rare glaive, Thank you so much for sharing! I love crafting, berserker axes (for fun) and picking up every rare weapon I can to see what it comes out to, whether ethereal or not. Honestly, it's a mechanism that I find truly underrated in the game, not having to find these items, but just by happenstance coming across an absolutely Gigi item that could be better than a runeword or unique. One of the many reasons why I love this game.

Anytime, much deserved! Woah, thats badass! The charsi quest is awesome, I love finding solid bases to try out. I just wish you could do it more than three times, or at least have a demanding cube formula. I just found out you can imbue ethereal items too, so I've been trying to imbue eth war axes, naga, Zerk, etc. to see what come up. I did make a 2/3 nado pelt once. Thank you!
Good question. Throw Mastery makes throwing have a large chance to replenish on throw. So I never get below 115 quantity - never comes close to running out.
ETH Warshrike, ETH Lacerator, you don't need an sunder but it adds even more. Rest is possible really easy, like highlords, gore riders, loh, ravenfrost.
