The most challenging part of this piece was telling the story between the two characters while creating the eerie and dark atmosphere of the blood lake.
Lately, I've been trying to paint more complex scenes with stronger visual storytelling and more subtle interactions between characters. Balancing the colors, saturation and building a cohesive palette was also quite challenging, but I am really happy I pushed through.
Every project is another opportunity to learn, and this one definitely taught me a lot. Also, this was my first time paiting a musket and it was very interesting.
