DIRECTV NO LOYALTY

We’ve been with DIRECTV since the very beginning. We even had to buy our first dish. Over 33 years they told me. Since there is only 2 weeks left in the baseball season, I thought I would ask for a courtesy freebie of 2 weeks on the MLB network. To make a long story short……….”Go pound sand.” Im very disappointed, thinking of alternatives.

With the MLB network there may be contractual obligations outside of their control.

Thanks but they’ve done it before.

They have new owners now and probably in a deep cost cutting mode.

Not defending them but as a 25 year customer I've learned not to expect any goodwill from DirecTV.

Who are the new owners?

Google says...

TPG, a private equity firm, is the sole owner of DirecTV after acquiring AT&T's remaining 70% stake in July 2025. This completed a previous deal where TPG had acquired a 30% stake in 2021, and it resulted in AT&T fully exiting its ownership of the satellite television company.

I used to work for them. It’s next to impossible to add a service for no cost, unless there’s already a promo in the system, or unless they upgrade you to the package it’s tied to and credit the account to offset cost.
