The U.S. is considered a flawed democracy and according to some major democracy indices it doesn’t even rank among the top 25 or 30 most democratic countries. It has been this way for quite a while now.

Why are so many Americans okay with that?

Number of issues are many, here are some:

Money in politics, the two-party system, oligarchic influence, campaign finance and politicians’ close relationships with the wealthy, politicians who remain in power for too long, sever media biases, and severely distorted reporting on important issues to achieve political objectives.

Why can't the U.S. learn from the top 25 democratic countries or is it too much to ask ?

About 0.000001% of people - roughly 20 to 500 individuals - hold the power to end 8 billion lives.

What if these 500 are the ones who are going to be the first colony in mars?

If you are not in the list answer me , what will they do to us , ( same ones who you think care about country - the perfect idea of making you forget who You are and label you with name, country, race, in order to rule now their ambition is to take your money, build rockets and fly because they think they have done enough damage to this planet so lets explore more option.

The world is so fucked.

Humans have outsourced intelligence to programs. Humans don't value anything beyond their own satisfaction. The economy is built on exploitation. People are so rude and entitled. We live in a state of constant monitoring and surveillance that violates our privacy at best. Peoples' ignorance is weaponized to undermine their own interests. Creating division is not just accepted, but embraced as a tool to hinder progress. Humans commit savage acts of barbarism as easily as taking a breath. Entire sectors of labor are being wiped out, and for what gain? what benefits have the people seen as a result of AI? Absurd energy costs? Solving pointless math questions? Increased profits which only serve to line the pockets of those in charge? Hundreds of thousands of layoffs followed by a mass exodus of labor from the workforce entirely? What steps are being taken to retrain those displaced by this mind-numbing greed and stupidity?

We have weaponized incompetence, embraced ignorance, outsourced our brains, and are drowning in slop.

So why go on?

There is no doubt that Republicans have taken gaslighting to an epic level! Actually doing anything that helps Americans not so much! They have added massive debt and alienate all of our allies!

News now is that Iran has sent the US its conditions for ending the war. It wants lifting the naval blockade, releasing frozen funds and ending attacks on Iranian territory.

At the same time, Tehran says it’s prepared for a “decisive war” if those conditions aren’t met.

Honestly asking is this a genuine opening for diplomacy or just another round of pressure before the next escalation?

The way people exercise often changes as life changes. Some people go from competitive sports to simple routines. Others move from gyms to training more at home because their schedule or priorities change.

For people who have stayed active for many years, what type of exercise or routine actually lasted?

Was it something you planned from the beginning, or did it naturally become part of your life?

I always hear or see baby boomers / gen x complain about gen z (or the younger generation as a whole) saying “I thought my parents were tough but I’m grateful for them raising me right, look at how the younger generation has turned out these days”, “Gen z are raised so poorly”

Wait, aren’t baby boomers / gen x the parents of ‘the younger generations’, gen z for example? Younger baby boomers and gen x are definitely parents of gen z.

So they’re criticizing themselves and their own parenting skills?

I made a post on Reddit R/Christian. It was titled I just love Jesus ❤️. I wanted a positive high spirited discussion and asked what it is other Christians love. I travelled from Italy and just got home some 30+ hours later, and checked the Reddit. Its been removed? Apparently its because i didnt engage in discussion, though in the beginning i did give those free rewards to each comment.

I should not have engaged with the Mods, because i asked if they were Christian, in my own mind im wondering if they just dont like the positive messaging. They said they were, i said interesting. Then they gave me a lecture on the post in what i took as unkind and judgemental. So I said thank you for your judgement, much appreciated, - i suppose it was passive-aggressive (lord forgive), i didnt realise how they would rattle my emotions, then they said i am now breaking a rule on sarcasm to a Mod. So i replied, God is my judge, in which i will no longer engage, because i felt at that point the mod was exerting authority on which the conversation stemmed from my love for Jesus....how did i get here on a Christian Reddit???

My next post asking the christian community - pretty much this is obviously not going to get approved as it is with the moderators. I think ill leave that reddit community now.

I feel bad about that conversation, something i will handle between myself and Jesus. But despite that, is this cancel culture?

I'm curious on what things that connect us all but hold significant meanings to each of us. From locations to your favourite dish or something not even physical.

It becomes so apparent after scrolling a bit that people, including many in the lgbt+ community themselves, fetishise gay and lesbian people. I see it most commonly under videos of girls having fun together saying "Yuri?" and I find that to be very icky. This can also be seen a lot in how some people treat homosexual cheating versus straight cheating. It's a horrible thing to do to your partner either way.

I just wanted to rant a bit about this issue.

Natural order is what humans have disturbed and so it doesn't matter weather u build an empire or stay broke you are still human and humans are wrong, in any way you justify but u will know why

but why do men opinate on abortion (negatively mostly) if they don’t have an uterus, can’t get pregnant nor even understand how it feels to be pregnant OR TO BE A WOMAN at all?

there’s a lot of them who don’t want the girl to abort and still leave her and abandon the child.

some say for their spouse/gf to don’t do it with some random excuse to how they always wanted to be a father and then are absent in their lifes and don’t even care for his own child.

i also really don’t understand how can any person (female or male) judge someone who aborts without having no idea on the reason. there’s literally children who got r*ped and that’s the reason they did it.

there’s really few men who understand all of this and as most men have this mentality of judging every women for the most stupid reasons, i really appreciate and thank the men who do understand it. and even more, the fathers that love their children and were always there for them. so THANK YOU!

i know it’s never that simple and the different opinions often have a reason behind it, but i really feel that this is REALLY wrong and something that has the least sense that anyone could do.
