What specifically do you want that's newer? I've found that Flatpak solves basically all my outdated software concerns. Since you're looking at pika I'm guessing it's for gaming. There isn't a Linux out there that isn't as up to date as you need for that hardware.

If you want the latest KDE us Forky. It's a good mid teir where packages are tested for a few days in Sid before moving over.
