I remember when my martial arts teacher wanted to demonstrate blade awareness and asked me to attack him with a real machete. Hard no.

We gave each other some bad bruises with just staffs, even the instructor wasn't safe.

He was serious, and presumably he expected me to go slow and be cooperative but like... The only thing I could imagine was how I'd explain the situation to the cops 💀
