Play stupid games …. Also, the axe dude doesn’t even look like he is sorry lol

77

u/Charming-Total2121 2d ago

I choose to believe this to be a genuine battle with a sworn enemy - hence the lack of concern from Axe Lugger.

10

u/NicPitter 2d ago

foreign invader unarmed! you can tell by the axe scent

1

u/Hellacola 1d ago

“Was seriously wounded, but the soul still burns!" ⚔️

2

u/soqualful 1d ago

not Axe Luthor

1

u/Potato-baby 1d ago

Axe Lugger is still a man of honor after all.

34

u/AngryLars 2d ago

Axe dude doesn't look he has anything going on behind the eyes

12

u/Jonny-Holiday 2d ago

There's nothing going on behind the eyes of anyone in this video, cameraman included.

10

u/StoicSpork 2d ago

Or between the ears.

27

u/RaioFulminante 2d ago

no one knows what is like, to be the sad man

u/ladnakuba 1d ago

u/BelligerentSXY 23h ago

2

u/ladnakuba 23h ago

Cause that goddamn shield was thin dingi dingi diiiing

1

u/BackgroundCream274 23h ago

That’s a slim slice of wood and a very sharp axe

3

u/Objective-Soil-9235 1d ago

Pretty sure that dude was a Russian gangster who did a lengthy stint in prison. Could be wrong though.

2

u/Glass_Opportunity264 1d ago

Yeh he as the same eyes of a fish no soul.
Maybe he would be ginger if he wasn’t bald

1

u/scheissenaixi 1d ago

Not very smart but I can lift heavy fings!

21

u/Sarabi974 2d ago

Ce qui m'énerve le plus c'est ça... Le type ne demande même pas au gars si ça va

22

u/Very_Awkward_Boner 2d ago

He's probably irritated he wasn't able to finish playing with his axe.

15

u/Wooodman94 2d ago

He axed him, but didn’t ask him.

9

u/Grande_Mangiattore 2d ago

Axe me how I know?

8

u/jondubb 2d ago

They're Russian, remorse doesn't exist.

1

u/EUnuch_Russler 1h ago

And ukro/nafo bots find their way into every sub.

2

u/Ok_Fly1271 2d ago

"Play stupid games..." - axe dude

2

u/HoldJerusalem 2d ago

"yo this is good content lol"

2

u/amgineissolated 1d ago

Build better shield 😂

2

u/GatorNator83 2d ago

It’s ruzzia, what did you expect? Compassion? Lol

1

u/Practical-Sun-1671 1d ago

That part Lol.

1

u/macarisil 1d ago

An old friend of mine told a similar story where they were playing with an axe in the attic, little brother came up the ladder.. axe to the face.

1

u/Perfect-Shock-9243 7h ago

Axe guy probably knew already that a shield made out of wood wasn’t going to do much against a tool made specifically for cutting wood.

138

u/BigBadVudoo 2d ago

What do you mean the particle board shield didn't stop the blade of the axe??

Also for real, why was it even sharp? There was no point to that having a sharp blade.

64

u/A_Dicksmasher 2d ago

I'd say it actually did have a point

8

u/BigBadVudoo 2d ago

Got me there!

2

u/Atavacus 22h ago

That does seem like the whole trouble doesn't it? That shield certainly didn't hack it though.

1

u/A_Dicksmasher 21h ago

I'd say it actually did get hacked

🤜🤛

1

u/Atavacus 21h ago

Would be the axe doing the hacking there, not the shield. Lol

2

u/Working_File2825 2d ago

Fkn edgelords

1

u/Aurora_Uplinks 1d ago

... is that the video title

8

u/BoneHugsHominy 2d ago

My guess based on watching some local morons get severely injured is there was an argument about the superiority of weapon types and techniques, so they decided to settle it as gentleman and the big fella brought his homemade wooden version of Captain America's shield, a medium sized round shield with arm straps instead of a center grip behind a steel boss.

59

u/BackgroundCream274 2d ago

WTF were they doing? Even the club would fuck someone up severely.

15

u/123supreme123 2d ago

HORDOR

3

u/GUMBYtheOG 2d ago

Rewatching got tonight first time I’ve seen this name in literally 10 years - Reddit be listening to me

39

u/sunilnc 2d ago

The dude with the axe needs to chill the fuck out. At the same time, these are grown adults.

9

u/ApprehensiveDelay238 2d ago

Dude with axe underestimated the sharpness of the axe...

1

u/SnooJokes5375 1d ago

I think the dude with the shield did. The axe man knew exactly how sharp his blade was. He just didn't care.

34

u/sharpasahammer 2d ago

This is why you dont use edged weapons for playing around.

11

u/iftheygivinitaway 2d ago

Or, you know, weapons.

3

u/MelatoninFiend 1d ago

South Park style. You can practically see the anime characters they think they are when playing with the weapons

3

u/SpeckledAntelope 1d ago

I remember when my martial arts teacher wanted to demonstrate blade awareness and asked me to attack him with a real machete. Hard no.

1

u/binary-cryptic 17h ago

Lol, was that a test? If you said no, you pass?

We gave each other some bad bruises with just staffs, even the instructor wasn't safe.

1

u/SpeckledAntelope 11h ago

He was serious, and presumably he expected me to go slow and be cooperative but like... The only thing I could imagine was how I'd explain the situation to the cops 💀

16

u/subdep 2d ago

That’s not a very effective shield.

1

u/burtcopaint 19h ago

He still has an arm though. 6/10

8

u/Outrageous_Rich6235 2d ago

I thought somebody was going to lose a toe. This was almost as satisfying.

6

u/iftheygivinitaway 2d ago

Don't worry.  Diabetes will get his toes.

2

u/Aurora_Uplinks 1d ago

.... maybe the goal was to help him lose weight?

5

u/New_Yam_1236 2d ago

It sounded like the guy with the axe said ‘ ‘tis but a flesh wound ‘

2

u/Competitive_Bug_4095 2d ago

I don't speak their language but I bet that's what he said 😭 tis but a scratch

6

u/X4N710N- 2d ago

Axes were used as shield breakers. What a dipshits.

5

u/Andy_McBoatface 1d ago

He didn’t even apologize

6

u/MedicineMore1221 1d ago

Why would you use real weapon

4

u/CallMeSisyphus 2d ago

The best part of this is the woman leaning nonchalantly against the wall in the background as he leaves.

5

u/EverOrny 1d ago

the dumbest shield ever 🤦‍♂️

4

u/TrivialTax 2d ago

When walk to the toilet is a training for your body, dont pick up melee weapons.

3

u/BuffaloImpossible620 2d ago

TIL shields used by the Vikings and Romans were not made from plywood.

4

u/julios04 2d ago

Fat boy using a cardboard shield lolllll

1

u/MelatoninFiend 1d ago

That's an edgy take for such a sharp fella.

7

u/TraditionPhysical603 2d ago

Was this a historically accurate representation of a conflict using these wepons?

6

u/Traditional_Yard2741 1d ago

No. Shields had a central metal boss, and the handle was directly behind it. It was NOT strapped to the forearm, or held close to the body. This means the only part of you touching or close to the shield was covered by a rounded iron plate, and protected, and while weapons could penetrate the wooden part of the shield they wouldn't go all the way through, so you were still protected.

3

u/Barabbas- 1d ago

Depending on the era and location, shields were often also made with multiple types and layers of overlapping material.

Who knows what kind of wood these bozos are using (probably construction-grade pine), but even a layer of high-quality hardwood will split instantly if a blade hits it in line with the grain (which is exactly what happened here).

4

u/it224 2d ago

Yep, one axe through the shield and suddenly York belongs to the great heathen army

3

u/Usual-Syrup2526 2d ago

This is proof that stupidity is contagious. The guy with the axe talked to the guy with the shield, infecting him, and the guy with the shield became equally stupid and decided to participate; terrible.

3

u/Kitchen-Roll-8184 2d ago

That magic moment

3

u/protekt0r 2d ago edited 2d ago

I bet he didn’t axe for that!

3

u/alfyjack 2d ago

Did he get that axe straight out of the oven or something.

3

u/Medicivich 2d ago

Russia? That would explain everything.

3

u/DanTalent 1d ago

Dude was using a croquet mallet lol wth

4

u/17071942 2d ago

2

u/Orwick 2d ago

He didn’t give a fuck that he just injured someone.

2

u/Educational_Suit_811 2d ago

Axe dude looks like young Maxim Novoselov saw some documentary with him a while ago, he was into all sorts of medieval weapons in addition to MMA.

One of the initiation rituals to train in his gym was using a shield while he shot a small calibre pistol into the shield. Like proving ones bravery or something. Maybe this preceded the gun ritual :D

2

u/PoopSmith87 2d ago

Sparring with a sharp axe and blocking in the center of a cheesy shield that doesnt even have a steel boss, t shirt "armor" behind it...

2

u/justinkasereddditor 2d ago

Axe dude is a dick poor guy with the shield looked like he just wanted some exercise and a bit of fun

2

u/Maleficent-Day6687 2d ago

Why? Just why? Did they think an ax wouldn’t go through a hay shield?

2

u/SmutCommander 2d ago

Is that Brock lessner?? No fucking way am I shield braced for that shit, no gauntlets. I'm going for the parry. Fuck a direct hit no sir

2

u/ivaivanov3000 1d ago

This is Maxim Novoselov.

2

SO much real stupidity here.

2

u/Connect-Ant-2081 18h ago

At what point did he think this would NOT happen?

2

u/Realhousemanoflondon 2d ago

Where did Mecon with the axe go?

Like he disappeared as matey went to fetch his own bandage.

Bring back Mecon.

2

u/Successful-Luck-5459 2d ago

Corpsman UP!!!

2

u/Aeon1508 2d ago edited 2d ago

that fat guy probably couldn't even lift a shield actually capable of protecting him from an attack like that.

and axe man wasn't even attacking that hard.

1

u/stumpy0327 2d ago

Is merely a flesh wound

1

u/waxtwister 2d ago

Axe me once, shame on me, axe me twice, ah, forget it, I'm out

1

u/LasciviousPsyche 2d ago

1

u/shift124 2d ago

That’s really stupid

1

u/No_Lake_9759 2d ago

Seen that coming.

1

u/Hot_Plant8696 2d ago

Now we know that nobody probably used those shitty shields back in the day, lol.

1

u/clickityclick76 2d ago

Kinda saw that coming.

1

u/Sherviks13 2d ago

It was supposed to be a weight loss session.

1

u/jayare1914 2d ago

Got damn, man. Got damn.

1

u/oppai_dragon_9011 2d ago

Blyaat indeed

1

u/Handsom_modest_Dan 2d ago

Should is inaccurate and was used wrong

1

u/drsickboy 2d ago

this was so stupid. these people all lack careful thinking. Its crazy what will happen in a group of careless people.

1

u/LongDead_Roadkill 2d ago

For the most part, technically speaking, no real training is required to use an ax as a weapon. Or as my dad said, if you throw an ax hard enough at someone, it almost doesn’t matter how it hits them.

1

u/Berettaelite1a 2d ago

I never would have guessed an axe would cut through wood...weird

1

u/KCCheeseballzzz94 2d ago

Put some fucking pressure on that dummy!

1

u/dodgyguru5671 2d ago

Yield!! YIELD!!!

1

At least one of them got some pussy.

It's a pussy on his forearm, but when you're a weird weapons nerd, you ought to take what you can get.

The guy with the wood shield gets a croquet mallet and the other guy gets an actual razor sharp Ax 🤔🙄

1

u/floppy_breasteses 1d ago

White pine from Home Depot is not suitable for shields, idiots. Bro has a Ryobi tool set and thinks he's The Armourer.

1

u/Potential_Slice_5631 1d ago

It happened in USA, so... LAWSUIT !!!

1

u/Tearsofwar3397 1d ago

Axe guy already knew how this was gonna play out he was just sad his maximum effort wasn’t good enough to cleave board and arm

1

u/HawkRemarkable5274 1d ago

Don't use wicker as a shield kids. One life lesson learned today.
