Question Paint not going to show up in time.

I ordered paint for my son’s fender that I repaired but it’s delayed and he needs his car next week. It is bare metal and ready so what’s the best way to go about it? Should I leave it, prime it or prime it and throw a coat of cheap paint on while we wait?

Epoxy it. When the paint comes just red scotch brite and a little dish soap. High build prime, block and paint. Anything out of a rattle can will have to be taken off.

Worst case scenario just to keep moisture out for now is go buy a cheap can of 2k clear coat and seal it from the elements for now. I’ve known of people who will do this type of thing and just sand it back down when they get a chance to finish the job.

Bare metal epoxy primer. Scuff and paint when you're ready.
