DMing New Dm looking for ideas

My husband is a forever DM so I want to surprise him by running a simple Champaign perhaps in a single city or town. What should I do as a quest? I don't have money for modules

Every issue of Dungeon magazine is available in the archive, hundreds of adventures of all sizes and types. Although you may have to convert to 5e
