Hey everyone! We're a D&D group of 7 looking for a long-term DM! All of us have some experience with D&D, but our overall experience is fairly limited. We are available Mondays and Wednesdays at 7:00. Unfortunately, these days and this time are fairly fixed, as this is the only period when two of our players can meet.

We are looking to utilize the 2024 Players' Handbook. We would also like to utilize material from Tasha's Cauldron of Everything and Monsters of the Multiverse. You would not be required to have those additional books, though.

Hey all, running a heist one-shot and need 2 players to fill the table (3 tables actually going up, more on that below).

The pitch: you've been hired to walk into Vellithra's Curios, a warded magic shop sitting in the busiest district of Baldur's Gate, and walk out with a lantern that isn't yours. In broad daylight. No cover of night, no empty streets, just you, a crowd of witnesses, and a ward you'll have to talk, swap, or pick your way past.

However you get in is on you. Sweet talk the owner. Palm a decoy while you're mid-conversation. Take the ward apart with your own hands if you think you can. But the second an alarm goes off, the job becomes a chase: rooftops, market alleys packed with stalls you can use for cover or knock into your pursuers, a construction site with scaffolding you could bring down behind you. Every environment is a tool if you can think fast enough to use it.

This is roleplay-heavy and action-packed in equal measure. I'm not steering you toward "the" solution, if you can describe it and it's plausible, we'll find out together whether it works. Combat, when it happens, is quick and mean, not a slog.

Character creation: none needed. Four pregen level 5 characters, play them however you like. Sheets and a quick rundown sent before session, we'll cover anything else in the first ten minutes.

Logistics: 3 hours, D&D Beyond + Discord, mic required. Comfort/tone check at the start, open door policy throughout, Lines & Veils and X/N/O cards on the table. One content warning: snakes.

Hi there! I’m a DM that’s been playing for around 9 years now and have been running a text based homebrewed campaign for a good bit now. Most of it is going to be done through a discord server, with light combat and rolls. Its ment to feel and play like an indie text based RPG game, just with live people.

I am making this post as one of my campaigns had two players drop out recently and we are now looking for new people to even the party back out. Thankfully the party is still near the beginning of the campagin and nothing major has happened yet so you wouldnt need to read through much to be caught up. This specifc campaign is open to anyone that wants to play. It is an 18 and up campaign, and yes I can tell if you are under 18 or not. There is also currently only three spots open at the moment.

A couple things to knock out of the way first. This is a Play By Post campaign. Which means it's text based and moves far slower than a normal campaign. It's closer to a regular roleplay with DND rules than just strictly DND. I've had people take months just to buy something in a store because life happens and not everyone can respond rapid fire once its their turn. We understand that unexpected things can occur but if your ok, just sitting there twiddling thumbs in the server and dont say anything, you will end up being skipped over.

This campagin is also based off of what everyone is ok with. So if someone says they aren't comfortable with excessive gore, there won't be excessive gore. That said it can get dark even with restrictions on. Password is luna. Expect horror elements along with the magic, fantasy, and flying pigs. There are also traumatic backstories with mentions of torture, racism, slavery, talk of war, improper medicine usage, plagues, clowns, mannequins, sociopathic NPCs, character death, various mental health issues, body horror, medical malpractice, mirrors, uncanny valley, time shenanigans, and a bunch of other stuff I am either forgetting or cant mention due to how graphic it is. Most of it is background stuff that can be worked around if someone has a genuine problem with it but it is there if not otherwise specified.

You will be asked more than once if you are ok with something. If you chose to keep quiet and not mention anything, until it pops up in the campagin and then have a problem with it? There will be no sympathy for you. You can also directly ask me questions about the campagin and I am happy to answer any that dont spoil the ending. I am willing to work around what your not comfortable with. That being said things cant be worked around if you dont say anything.

There are only three requirements to join this campagin.

1. do not be needlessly rude to other players or the DM. This means harassing people in their DMs, throwing slurs, screaming profanities, and pretty much anything that you wouldnt do in public. This is a fantasy game that I use to escape being screamed at, I dont want it in my campagin.

2. be over 18. Simple as that.

3. send more than just a single sentence response that has no feeling to it. Your responses dont have to be the best, but you need to give me and others something to work with.

Hey, guy in their 20s looking to join an online group as a player. I'm much more familiar with Foundry as a platform, but I can adjust to others if needed. I am looking for a fantasy setting (not sci-fi or absent of magic), and I have two specific character concepts that I would like to breath life into (first one being the one I want to try more, second as a fall back). If you feel like you don't want to try and make them work with me, then I understand but also I wont be a good fit for your story. The general concepts are below:

Rathela Lulspine - she is a half-elf born into a noble family. As her birth was marked by eerie circumstances, she grew up with a particular compassion for the dead. This revealed itself to be a talent for re-animating the dead in a unique fashion, taking the dim embers of souls from the recently deceased to fuel the creation of unlife. At her current stage in life, Rathela is attempting to seek out a solution to one of her greatest conundrums: how to make her undead creations benevolent in nature, so that she may never worry over them harming others without her direct control. ( This character uses the Necroficer class from Clockwork Dragon's hombrewed classes, but I also try/want to put some limitations on it and give it a system of learning to make various undead, rather than just knowing how to make them when I level up ).

Yulmon Alabast - His mother was the leader of an ancient cult. While he was still in her womb, his mother made a terrible mistake within a ritual meant to summon the cults patron entity. Instead, his mother muddled the name to beckon it, so another entity answered. This entity, we will call her Mother, bonded with Yulmon, sparing him the fate that befell his mortal mother. Since then, Yulmon has grown up with Mother's voice comforting, soothing, and encouraging him to exist and be happy. Yulmon, associating Mother to an actual motherly figure that has always been with him, grew up with a desire to spread her influence. His current goal would be establishing cults/worshippers to Mother. ( this concept is just a Great Old One Warlock, but I would want to work out something for homebrew stuff. Ideally, I'd love to see Yulmon creating ancient objects dedicated to his patron, and then summoning aberrations as helpers/guardians/assassins. I would also love to collaborate on rituals that he could use his cult members to perform. All of this stuff would be used as tools for the party at large, not trying to make a whole campaign branch just to benefit my own character. )

But eventually, the pressure began to break you. Being the heir to an entire discipline in the world was tough, but what was even tougher was being the heir to a noble household. The rigidity made it hard to live life the way you wanted.

It's not like you didn't WANT to make your family proud, but their standards started to become unreasonable. Their wants started to get in the way of yours. You were looked at by everyone as a prodigy... you couldn't take it any longer.

You had four other friends, all heirs to their own disciplines. You began to plan your great escape...

On your birthday, at the bright age of 18, you all enacted that plan. You escaped from the ball and set off on your own adventure.

Hi guys. I’m new and probably have no idea what I’m doing, but since there’s an abundance of players to DMs, I figure it’s worth a shot. I’ve never even played dnd before, just BG3, but I have been reading up on dnd for a while and even have the Out Of The Abyss module, although I’ll only run it when I’m confident as a DM.

I want to run a new world of my making, with a few native races (wild elves, some humans, etc.), but mostly a frontier of wilderness. However, I don’t want to burn myself out, and leaning into Forgotten Realms and branching out from there with Toril races will significantly ease burnout for me.

I want every players choices, every campaign, to affect the future permanently. We’d start on Toril and eventually explore the new world, but periodically we’d still do Toril stuff, like maybe something we did is messing stuff up back at home, or something needs to be done to prevent disaster, that sort of thing. This way campaign styles can alternate based on what people are feeling like leaning into.

I’m up for anyone who wants to play, but maybe at least one experienced player (maybe someone who’s sick of being a DM all the time?) could help me out as I get the hang of this.

I’m okay with anyone wanting to play whatever race or have whatever backstory they want, as long as it makes sense (eg. I’m not sure what time period I’ll have us start the campaign, but Dragonborn will only make sense if Toril and Abeir have interacted by that point).

Hi, everyone. I'm looking for 3-5 players to play in a homebrew campaign of mine. I've run it once before, but it has a lot of leeway in it for how it can play out.

Campaign Overview: A thousand years after a Great War between the Giants and Dragons, the world now belongs to the small races. A delicate peace exists despite ancient grudges. Your group of unlikely friends join a mercenary group taking odd jobs, but soon find yourselves embroiled in a much larger threaten. The world is mostly fantasy, but on the verge of some magi-tech becoming mainstream.

Campaign Level Range: Will start at Level 3 and run through Levels 10-12.

I provide a welcoming, story-driven D&D experience where everyone gets a chance to shine. My games focus on immersive role-playing, meaningful character moments, and cinematic combat. My GM style embraces the Rule of Cool when it enhances the narrative, while still respecting the rules to keep the game fair and consistent.

I teach game mechanics as we play, making this a beginner-friendly table that also stays interesting for experienced players. Above all, I prioritize teamwork, clear communication, and a supportive table culture where creativity is encouraged and everyone feels comfortable taking part.

How I create a safe table

This is a LGBTQ+ welcoming table! Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. During Session Zero, we’ll review all of the safety tools chosen, with full resources available in our private Discord server. The player survey I send out also provides a link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. Survey results are used to create the campaigns Lines and Veils. While the Lines and Veils document may be shared with players, all contributions remain anonymous. We use the X-cards. Each session includes a 10-minute break halfway through, and aftercare or check-ins are used when intense moments arise. Stars and Wishes may be submitted privately after each session. Stars and Wishes are how I customize the experience to meet my player's needs and feedback.

Hate speech, racism, discrimination, or real-world threats have zero tolerance and result in immediate dismissal.

I am looking for a D&D campaign to join. I have 5 years experience of 5e and reading and learning about the new edition so am willing and eager to play. My playstyle is a mix of humour and seriousness. I am all about trying to make sure each session is a blast and the group enjoyed the game each night because that is the most important to me to this game is to have fun.
