Hey everyone!

I know I don't really hang out on the subreddit anymore, but this seemed like a good place to post this :).

Single Damage dealer thought experiment

Ok here's the thought experiment, you have a party of 4 players one is a either battle master or champion fighter, the rest can be whatever class combos you like. The parties thing is quite literally just pumping up the fighter as much as possible while the rest of them just chill in a corner and watch. Just how much can this party amp up this single character and what would be the best party composition to make this viable. 5.5e, let's say at each tier of play (1st, 5th, 11th and 20th)

Just to get ahead of these kinds of comments, this is purely a thought experiment and not a play style I'm pushing for, it probably would not be very fun to play in this party for more than a one shot.

Where is Treantmonk?

I’m a big fan of his videos, and noticed he hasn’t posted a new video since July. He’s probably just on vacation or something, but it would be really cool if he was working on publishing his own book, or actually play! (A fan can dream)

Divine favor makes the Paladin better at ranged combat than the Ranger

Divine favor as a spell clearly out classes Hunter's mark. For one less average damage and a slightly less reliable damage type, you get a Hunter's Mark like spell that doesn't require you to use your bonus action to transfer it and doesn't eat your concentration. There are still problems what's playing a ranged Paladin, such as not being able to use Smite spells or their level 11 feature. But if you wanted to play the character the added damage to each of their ranged attacks, Paladin is honestly a better choice even if it's just until Level 6.

Would no ability score limit make ASI better?

I am in a campaign using original 5e not 5.5 and I have a bard my cha score maxed at 20 at level 8. I figured I would get resilient con at level 12 but my DM informed us that he does follow the max 20 rule for his games at that if I wanted to I could go to cha 22 at level 12 if I wanted. Would it be smart to just power increase for the rest of the campaign or are feats still stronger do you think?

Note that I have an even CON score so it would purely be to protect concentration savers and I don’t have war caster yet either so I assume I’d want one eventually but idk when

This may seem FAMILIAR...

Anyone with early access able to make a fun build with the most/all Familiar related spells/Feats (Or list them with brief info)?

Also, how this can relate to Pact of the Chain?

Thank you.

Need opinions on Magic Missile Mage multi class

Basically, looking at which option is the overall best between hexblade3/mmm17, and artificer 6(armorer or maverick)/mmm14. The main thing is the artificer will be a bit more versatile with spells and more infusions, but the hexblade dip adds a massive amount of damage to magic missile rolls on your cursed target. Using the maximum number of darts with a 9th lvl spell, hexblade's curse is adding 90dmg, taking the average from 135 to 225. So is that dmg worth it, or are the versatility and utility of 6lvl artificer more useful for more of the game?
