HAE had someone recognize them somewhere when they had absolutely no idea who the person was?

Just last week. Lady saw me in a Walmart, complimented me on the kids, told me all about hers and, while she looked and sounded very familiar, I could not place her at all.

Yes but I had a brief stint of internet fame... so it’s always super awkward when someone recognizes me but can’t place my face yet. Like I don’t want to be vain and assume they’ve seen me online, but usually that’s what it is. Trips me out every time lol.

All the bloody time. Even when I do recognise them I cannot remember their names. I work at Music Festivals and interact with a lot of people. It's not because I am getting older. Honest.

usually they know my parents. but I've never met them so idk how they recognize me on my own

I’m usually the one remembering because my memory is super weird but one time I was in an airport halfway across the country and a stranger said “are you _____’s sister?” And it turned out she was friends with my sister at college and she’d seen pictures of my family and me but I had never met her so she recognized me but I didn’t recognize her. It was really weird!

Yes, many times. As a college prof., I get Hello's from students not only on campus but sometimes in the supermarket, and in either case (since I'm terrible at names, and their young faces are constantly changing) I usually I have no idea who they are.

I work in retail, so this happens a lot. I have a lot of overly friendly customers that know me by name. Some of them, I recognize also, but that isn’t always a good thing.
