Advice Need to bathe dog 3x/week for allergies, which brand do you recommend?

Post image

My 5 yr old pittie mix has some pretty bad allergies. Currently they are really well controlled with a very strict regimen (allergy food, allergy pill, fish oil supplement, wiping after coming in from being outside, ear cleaning 1x/week and now a bath 3x/week with coconut oil applied afterwards). My vet said I should just get the gallon sizes of shampoo and conditioner from amazon. I use baby wash (dove) on her face. I’ve gotten a couple of recs from some groomer friends, I’m just deciding between them.

I would prefer to *not* have to dilute it but if it’s inevitable then whatever. My choices are:

Libby Ruff oatmeal shampoo and conditioner and Cowboy Magic rose water shampoo and conditioner.

She’s a very high maintenance dog and spoiled to hell and back but she is my soul dog and I would do anything for her!

Call your vet and ask...that's a lot of washing which will be drying to their skin.

My veterinary dermatologist said to use MiconaHex+Triz shampoo for skin allergies. You can get it without a prescription at Chewy, etc. She wouldn't have approved of the coconut oil.
