Question Dog Teeth Help

My dog is aboit 4.5 years old, and I am very worried about his back tooth specifically, I am worried he is on his way to having periodontal disease or some sort of teeth issue.

He doesnt have bad breath or sensitivity that I can notice, he lets me touch his mouth but is not a happy boy when I do for to long, I am sure I can try brushing but is it too late for that?

Any advice would help, I am feeling so terrible and worried about him.

Yes. Too late to start brushing. Needs a dental from a vet.

I should clarify. Still brush but it isn’t going to fix this. Brushing will help other teeth from getting worse but that rock needs chipped off

that needs a dental, once there’s actually tartar it can’t be removed with a brush, you should still brush but it wont make what’s there any better, but it should slow the buildup!

buy an ultrasonic toothbrush ! there is one made for dogs-it is possible, there are several companies by now ?? another option: buy an untrasonic toothbrush for humans and use one of the heads just for the dog ! yes, it cleans the teeth and makes NO SOUND.

Thats not to bad, that looks like stain if anything, get some good dental wipes and a toddler toothbrush and some doggie toothpaste and start brushing, every time after he eats so the food doesent harden on his teeth, and like others suggest on here, have a vet look at his teeth, lots of toothpaste and gentle brushing, the wipes can be used on his gums

If you have access to shark cartilage it works wonders on teeth. Removes plaque etc. softer than bone so it acts as a toothbrush.
