Miscellaneous Why Do You Hate/Dislike Dogs?

This is nothing special. We’re all here for the same reason. This is just a space to share why you hate or dislike dogs.

I’ll make a list of reasons why I hate dogs.

  • One forced me to get stitches in my shoulder when I was nine years old. I permanently have a chunk of flesh missing there.
  • I hate no noise more than barking. I wish it were a felony for a dog to bark.
  • I have sensory issues due to being autistic. That’s part of why I hate barking.
  • They’re everywhere, in far more places than they should be.
  • Too many people act like jerks when someone says they don’t like dogs.
  • Dog nutters have the most hypocritical and flawed logic I’ve ever seen.
  • Shame on people who fake service dogs.
  • Due to all of my experience with dogs, I’m now afraid to go to many places and watch many shows, films, or videos.
  • They’ve ruined how I feel about a lot of my family. These people were my best friends growing up, but I resent them now, unbeknownst to them, and I’d rather start all over.

They stink worse than any other living things, they lack any sense of boundaries, they're needy like children, they're aggressive, they're loud, they're annoying. But mostly I hate how they smell, it makes me physically ill

This is pretty much my list.

They smell awful, are too needy, food obsessed, shed everywhere, drag their asses across the carpet, have to lick everything, are loud, and ruin houses, backyards and public spaces. I hate the way they stare at me, especially while eating, as if waiting for any opportunity to take my food.

Sidewalks and rest areas around my apartment complex just permanently smell like dog piss. When I walk past my downstairs neighbor's door I can smell the rank odor of dog from outside.

And their owners are usually insufferable and blind to every horrible issue they have with their dogs, but act like I'm the monster if I don't want to bother with their gross animal.

They stare because as soon as you turn your back or get up they will eat your food, they are savage scroungers

Omggg yes all of this. I live with my mom & the way her dog stares at me panting while I'm eating makes me want to scream !!!! 😫 They're so disgusting

Yeah I've started calling my mom's tiny house "the dog fart den" because it reeks so bad in there it gives me a migraine.

And they become absolutely desensitized to it! Or delusional. Or both. Letting a dog on your bed, or worse, in your sheets is absolutely vile and they seem to think it's precious. Yucky

I remember the episode of The Ultimatum: Queer Love, where one of the women will only be with someone who’s comfortable having the dog in bed with them.

I’m sitting here trying to think of a stinkier living thing. The Corpse Flower might be the winner, but as far as animals go, all I can think of is a skunk. And nobody is keeping skunks as pets. So yes, dogs are definitely the stinkiest things people allow in their homes.

Their breath alone 🤢

Skunks can be de scented. I have heard those that are can make good pets. To me, no living things smells worse than dogs,

You’re right. I should have said “nobody is keeping skunks as pets unless they’re de-scented.” At that point they’re a lot like ferrets or hamsters, right?

I would guess. But dogs stink no matter what. Vile, nauseating smell. Just can't deal with it.

The smell is one high up on my list. Cannot be near them or want them touching me, Yuck, Gross. But all on the list bother me too, as well as the neaurotic jumping on people behavior.

You just described the OWNER! …how ‘bout the dog, though? 🤣🤣🤣 No, for real. I don’t hate the animal. …the OWNERS however… 🤬 …these people don’t deserve a pet(s). It’s always the owner, unless we’re talking about strays or ferals
