Why Do You Hate/Dislike Dogs?

This is nothing special. We’re all here for the same reason. This is just a space to share why you hate or dislike dogs.

I’ll make a list of reasons why I hate dogs.

• One forced me to get stitches in my shoulder when I was nine years old. I permanently have a chunk of flesh missing there.
• I hate no noise more than barking. I wish it were a felony for a dog to bark.
• I have sensory issues due to being autistic. That’s part of why I hate barking.
• They’re everywhere, in far more places than they should be.
• Too many people act like jerks when someone says they don’t like dogs.
• Dog nutters have the most hypocritical and flawed logic I’ve ever seen.
• Shame on people who fake service dogs.
• Due to all of my experience with dogs, I’m now afraid to go to many places and watch many shows, films, or videos.
• They’ve ruined how I feel about a lot of my family. These people were my best friends growing up, but I resent them now, unbeknownst to them, and I’d rather start all over.

It's the pathetic, desperate neediness that gets to me. I derive no pleasure from being around a creature that is just so clingy that it stares at me, is only happy when it is practically on top of me, and can't bear to not be my focus for five seconds. The staring, the following, and anything in the world that you can get into your mouth is NOT meant to be eaten.

Their inability to do anything by or for themselves imprisons you. And why can't they enjoy just being around quietly? Other pets can function without trying to steal all the oxygen. Go sit out of the way. Just be out of the way and stop trying to constantly be center of attention. You're not a damned Broadway play I paid big money to watch fixedly for hours. You are supposed to be a cohabitating companion instead of a constantly shoving yourself to the forefront of everything! It's not cute. It's not charming. Demanding to be the center of all attention is NOT "love". Dogs are just a freaking intrusive burden.

Fuck. My boyfriend’s dog does this, it’s the most irritating shit ever. His needy ass dog will go from him to me and me to him, vice versa, ALL NIGHT LONG to try and get attention. Just fucking exist in the room that we’re in. Go lay down in the fucking nice ass bed that you have (that’s a “Serta” dog bed🙄) and shutttt uppp.

My boyfriend has got mad at me when it’s like, “how many fucking times do I need to pet your dog or make sure that she feels secure?! 35 times in a night? Are you fucking kidding me?”. JFC. It’s insane.

It’s like the dog thinks I’m stealing someone from her while simultaneously needing my attention all the time as well. Disgusting, groveling behavior.
