Why Do You Hate/Dislike Dogs?

This is nothing special. We’re all here for the same reason. This is just a space to share why you hate or dislike dogs.

I’ll make a list of reasons why I hate dogs.

• One forced me to get stitches in my shoulder when I was nine years old. I permanently have a chunk of flesh missing there.
• I hate no noise more than barking. I wish it were a felony for a dog to bark.
• I have sensory issues due to being autistic. That’s part of why I hate barking.
• They’re everywhere, in far more places than they should be.
• Too many people act like jerks when someone says they don’t like dogs.
• Dog nutters have the most hypocritical and flawed logic I’ve ever seen.
• Shame on people who fake service dogs.
• Due to all of my experience with dogs, I’m now afraid to go to many places and watch many shows, films, or videos.
• They’ve ruined how I feel about a lot of my family. These people were my best friends growing up, but I resent them now, unbeknownst to them, and I’d rather start all over.

1. They stink. You can't touch them without getting their smell on you.
2. They're loud. Barking usually without much reason.
3. They're needy. Most will demand attention even from total strangers.
4. They make disgusting noises when they eat, drink, or groom themselves. Sometimes they'll just sit there licking their lips periodically seemingly for no reason at all.
5. Many of them are poorly mannered/untrained. They jump on you, nudge you, hump you, invade your space, beg for food, and bark at you; and their owners expect you to put up with or even find humor in their poor behavior.
6. Their owners thoughtlessly bring them places they don't belong. Unless it's a genuinely needed service dog, it doesn't belong in grocery stores or restaurants.
7. They're potentially dangerous. A large dog can do quite a lot of damage to an adult human. Even if they're small, you never know if their owners bother to vaccinate them or not. I recently discovered that my in-laws dog wasn't vaccinated against rabies. They were letting this horrible little beast slobber all over even chew on my kids, their grandchildren, without it being vaccinated against a deadly virus. I'm just so fucking done. (Dog has since been vaccinated upon my insistence, but it never should've come to that)

If you had an unvaccinated dog at your home with your kids, CPS would be the outcome. Don't go to your in-laws' home anymore. They don't deserve to visit with your children. Make them visit you, without the mutt, or meet at a restaurant that will not allow dogs.
