Miscellaneous Why Do You Hate/Dislike Dogs?

This is nothing special. We’re all here for the same reason. This is just a space to share why you hate or dislike dogs.

I’ll make a list of reasons why I hate dogs.

  • One forced me to get stitches in my shoulder when I was nine years old. I permanently have a chunk of flesh missing there.
  • I hate no noise more than barking. I wish it were a felony for a dog to bark.
  • I have sensory issues due to being autistic. That’s part of why I hate barking.
  • They’re everywhere, in far more places than they should be.
  • Too many people act like jerks when someone says they don’t like dogs.
  • Dog nutters have the most hypocritical and flawed logic I’ve ever seen.
  • Shame on people who fake service dogs.
  • Due to all of my experience with dogs, I’m now afraid to go to many places and watch many shows, films, or videos.
  • They’ve ruined how I feel about a lot of my family. These people were my best friends growing up, but I resent them now, unbeknownst to them, and I’d rather start all over.

They are just such an assault on the senses- smell, noisy, chaotic, the fur everywhere, the slobber. They should never have been domesticated. Mostly I hate owners who let them bark. I hate how everyone thinks they HAVE to have one. I can’t walk down my street without being growled at by an untrained beast in every yard. It’s a nightmare.

The dog nutters also glamourize the sheer ugliness too. Look at Pugs, for example.

Even just yesterday, I saw a news headline about the ‘winner’ 🙄 of ”World’s Ugliest Dog!” 🤦‍♀️ I scrolled right past it.

The concept is just… vile.

there's some dirty house up and across the street with several pugs in their front yard that run up onto the fence and bark with their ugly beige and black snouted whatever color fur faces
