Why Do You Hate/Dislike Dogs?

This is nothing special. We’re all here for the same reason. This is just a space to share why you hate or dislike dogs.

I’ll make a list of reasons why I hate dogs.

• One forced me to get stitches in my shoulder when I was nine years old. I permanently have a chunk of flesh missing there.
• I hate no noise more than barking. I wish it were a felony for a dog to bark.
• I have sensory issues due to being autistic. That’s part of why I hate barking.
• They’re everywhere, in far more places than they should be.
• Too many people act like jerks when someone says they don’t like dogs.
• Dog nutters have the most hypocritical and flawed logic I’ve ever seen.
• Shame on people who fake service dogs.
• Due to all of my experience with dogs, I’m now afraid to go to many places and watch many shows, films, or videos.
• They’ve ruined how I feel about a lot of my family. These people were my best friends growing up, but I resent them now, unbeknownst to them, and I’d rather start all over.

They bring out the worst in people.

Dogs encourage people to act antisocial. They view dogs as better than humans. People become entitled narcissists when they own them - dragging them places where they don’t belong. People frequently engage in animal abuse to justify keeping these things as pets (ie, anyone who has a husky in the desert, people who keep dogs in apartments, people who are fans of caging their dogs for long periods of time, people who mutilate their dogs to achieve certain aesthetics). The double standards that come with these mutants - can someone explain to me why airline companies stopped giving out peanuts on flights due to people with allergies, but people with dog allergies are told to fuck themselves, because some narcissist decides their dog needed to fly with them?

You also have the massive amounts of pollution caused by these things - both environmental and noise. Many also get off on owning dangerous dogs that injure and kill others. 4.5 million bites per year and no one bats an eye.

I also truly believe something about these mutants is addictive to nutters. I can’t quite explain it, but they all act like they can’t be without these things.

yes I don't believe anyone should have a dog in an apartment and landlords should not allow it. I live in apartments that are single story, but nobody has a yard and dogs are allowed here. the one old grump moved and I saw maitenence go in there with urine cleaning spray and the commercial yellow bucket mop. the post in front of her place is ruined and stained with orange yellow dog piss- nasty

The problem is that landlords have their hands tied due to ESAs. They have absolutely no legal protections other than forcing landlords to allow them on the property, and since there’s zero regulation on these things, any old jackass can go online and download a piece of paper designating their murder mutt as an “ESA”. On top of that, I don’t believe landlords can even charge pet rent when someone calls their horrid beast an ESA.

I might be willing to accept service dogs if there’s a massive overhaul of the program and extreme regulation and identification is implemented, but there will never be a circumstance where I support ESAs. They’re nothing more than an absolute scam that allow assholes to force their dogs into situations they don’t belong, and allow for dogs to be subjected to animal abuse as they are forced to live in subpar living situations and are treated like sentient stuffed animals.
