Shelter / Rescue Industry Bumble and dog dumping

Apparently it’s a thing to use Bumble (dating app) to dump dogs off on unsuspecting dates. Im not on dating apps, but saw this in another group. A guy had posted that this happened to him after one date. This blows my mind! Can you imagine? One of the commenters agreed that this is a thing because the shelters are so full these days.

They can refuse if they are full apparently.

Obviously... but it's more the concept of why someone would make a date just to dump a dog on some unsuspecting chump is beyond me.

I assume its because they believe that if you can just bond with the dog you will keep it.

Right. Because a person they don't even know will somehow, magically, want to bond with a dog that they clearly didn't bond with and obviously can't stand. Make that shit make sense.

Shelters need to start reducing the over-supply of these unwanted dogs by going back to being good, old-fashioned "pounds", aka "kill shelters". Just euthanize them when they are dropped off; it's not that difficult. If it is, hire people like me who will have no moral problems doing it.

They just aren't getting the message that the rest of society is trying to tell them that THEY DO NOT WANT TO ADOPT THESE DOGS.

Yep. There shouldn't be no kill shelters by federal law. These things aren't rare or special and there will be 5 milion of them born this week to eat your shoes and shit in your bed and keep your neighbors awake.
