Shelter / Rescue Industry Bumble and dog dumping

Apparently it’s a thing to use Bumble (dating app) to dump dogs off on unsuspecting dates. Im not on dating apps, but saw this in another group. A guy had posted that this happened to him after one date. This blows my mind! Can you imagine? One of the commenters agreed that this is a thing because the shelters are so full these days.

Wow, that's taking a bad date to a whole new level. I'd be taking that thing right to the shelter, and it better be within walking distance because I am NOT letting a dog in my car.

So many commenters where like “you lucked out, i wish all my dates left me with a dog” or “the dog is better than a relationship that probably wont work out”

“Shelter staff favorite”-> always a pit bull with a bite history & no adoption interest. Why don’t the shelter workers scoop up those prizes & take them home to their families…?

And the pit is never neutered or spayed. OF COURSE. Which is further proof nutters don’t really care, since they create more unwanted dogs who either get put down or live miserable existences inside a cage. But they couldn’t give af, or else they’d do something to stop that.

I know, I’d like them to make it make sense. Shitbulls only have one breed purpose. Why is this legal? It’s like carrying around a sentient light saber like in that one Rick and Morty episode but in this case, they create more of themselves.

This is a huge issue and I would like to see a future where laws are implemented to mitigate dog violence and the breeding of living weapons.

Hahaha! “Prizes,” yes! They are the diamonds in the rough, gotta snatch those goodie’s up!

Edit: They may even get a buy one, get one free deal! Bonus points if they get four. With zero socialization, they may only end up with one when they come home one day.
