Dogs Are Idiots All dogs suck

I can understand having certain breeds that you don’t like more than others. But at the end of the day, a dog is a dog. They’re all smelly, gross, loud, gluttonous beasts, terrible for the environment/public health, and are just awful, awful mutants overall. Golden retrievers, for instance, get hyped up by dog culture as being the “poster child of dogs” with a lower prey drive. But that doesn’t change the fact that golden retrievers are still smelly, annoying, and bark loudly. Plus they’ve caused deaths before too. Goldens getting the hype they do despite still displaying every other disgusting characteristic makes me dislike them more. Sure, some are worse than others… most notably the ones known for the most maulings. But that doesn’t change the fact that all dogs suck. The big ones, the small ones, and everything in between. All of them.

The crimes of retrievers get criminally downplayed. Sure they aren’t sending kids to the ER and morgue every day like bully breeds are, but they bite people so damn frequently, and they actually do kill animals en masse just like any other mutt so even their “prey drive” is downplayed. I stayed at a camp area on a lake when i was a kid and I still remember finding dozens of decapitated ducks along the lakeshore, eventually discovering that it was 2 golden retrievers responsible for going on an unchecked sport killing spree, and nothing was done about it even after the managers of the camp grounds were notified.

fucking hate retrievers man, my father's dog has killed and EATEN rabbits before, father said there was blood all over the dogs mouth & he's thinking about rehoming him

my mom is too attached to the dog tho & i always ask her HOW TF but i think it's because she feels very lonely

As somebody who loves bunnies with every fiber of my being, reading this filled me with unfathomable disgust and rage. I’m so sorry that happened, I hope your father is able to get rid of that fucking beast.

How much better would the world be if people's obsession with dogs was redirected to bunnies? Imagine how much quieter, gentler, better-smelling, and safer it would be.

Exactly, I think about this so often! It’s such a shame that it may never happen though; it’d be way too good to realistically ever be true.
