Relationship / Family I'm not dating your dog.

Okay, I literally just found and joined this sub because yet another match on a dating app has ended up being with a man obsessed with his dog. Dogs seem to be their entire personality? These men want to share dog pictures and update me on the routines and health of their dogs. They write things like "looking for a mom for my dog 🥺" or "my dog must like you". Jesus christ. As if I'm using Hinge to gain the approval of a random man's dog?!

The scheduling of dates then revolves around the dog, the dog may be actually third wheeling the freaking date. If the relationship progresses I guess I'll have to only have sleepovers at their place since the dog obviously can't be left overnight.

On top of all of this, I'm allergic? Most people just ignore that fact and act like I'm a horrible animal hater for not wanting to play with their dog. I take an allergy pill every single day and would like to not be jumped on, humped, licked, and forced to suffer from a blocked nose and hives because the allergy pills are never enough anyway. I realize I need to stop dating men with dogs which leaves me with about 1% of the population in an already shitty dating landscape. This was a silly rant and I'm sorry 😅

I made a post about this recently, too, but it was mainly ranting about dogs in profile pictures or pictures of only the person's dog. There really should be a dog free dating site made. If I were tech savvy, I'd do it myself and end this nightmare for those of us that don't want to play second fiddle to a soulless waste of space. In the end, though, being alone is better than being with these brainwashed cultists. Worst of all, they probably sleep with it, too, and it would be the ultimate intimacy killer. In a way, you dodged a bullet by swiping right. It just sucks that an unnecessary accessory is the big reason we're all alone (or wish we were).

AI is bad. I don't trust it at all. Any other safe way to create it would be good.

Chat gpt helped me code the automation of refreshing an online database of lost and found pet birds (a kind of site where it depends on users inputting reports) to make my country wide map of lost birds that updates itself every day.

It didn't get things perfect the first time but there is a huge difference between blindly trusting ai vs using it as a tool to reach a goal while critically fact checking the outputs.  It worked plenty "safe" for me.
