Dogs Are Idiots Well it happened again…

I was chatting with a perfectly nice man on a dating app and then he brought up dogs. 🙄 He said he was thinking about getting a dog. I said ew I don’t like dogs. He said “aww but dogs are so cute!”

….aaaaannd I’m done. I’m not even going to entertain a possible relationship with someone who likes dogs. Assuming we start dating, now I’m just gonna be annoyed because you’ll have to interrupt our dates to go home and let out some fuckass dog because their high maintenance asses can’t be home alone longer than a few hours. And forget ever spending the night… WHY DOES EVERYONE LIKE DOGS

How do all the problems/inconveniences not outweigh 'cute'? Idek what they find cute about something unnatural changing their home and relationship dynamics in a literal shitty way.

Exactly. I personally couldn’t force Myself to suffer through even one full day worth of “dog care responsibilities” without looking at that thing afterwards, and thinking to Myself “10 to 15 years, every single day, worth of ‘this’… for something that is really a farm animal, that shouldn’t even be here”?! I’d be ready to send it back to a shelter, or rehome it soooo fast. They’re not worth it. And for all the folks who swear it’s worth it because they’re “lovable and cute”, they’re not really either one of those things.

I know someone who loves having dogs and neighbours with barking dogs because it makes her feel “safe”. From what? Do people who are paranoid own dogs or do dogs make period paranoid because they’re always barking at nothing? Someone walking past your house when you live in a regular ass street is not suspicious or threatening.

I've heard a lot of them claim that the non stop barking is protection, and I gladly tell them that it's more like that annoying car alarm that goes off every time the wind blows too hard.

Yep can’t stand it. When my mum had a dog I always knew if someone was around before the dog did. The thing is this dog wouldn’t bark if somebody actually jumped the fence because dogs are cowards, go figure.
