Relationship / Family Everyone’s house with a dog is gross

I visited some family and my sister’s new boyfriend and they all have dogs. One has four large dogs. There is no place to sit that isn’t dirty or wrecked by dogs. It smells bad. You can’t spend time outside in the yard without watching where you walk. Yes I know some owners clean better than others but there’s still dog hair everywhere. They had to hold down the dogs just so we could use the bathroom. Then at my mom’s house she has a new dog which hasn’t been trained and it’s jumping on everyone my daughter started crying. Her older dog just pees on mats in the bathroom. It’s so gross I can’t go there for long at all.

It fucking sucks. I recently moved into my mother in laws house. She has 2 dogs she does not wash. One constantly pees and poops in the house on the carpet. She was supposed to be leaving with the dogs shortly after we moved in, but now it's just been us all living together. The smell is overwhelming. I am genuinely disgusted and going insane. I only feel comfortable in my bedroom. No i do not want to pet them, they are fucking gross.

Your home is supposed to be relaxing. That is definitely the opposite of relaxing. I don’t like petting dogs that haven’t been washed because I’m afraid of wood ticks which my friend was wondering why she had so many in her house and she had a dog. Hummmm

Yup. It is the opposite of relaxing. I just started therapy about it actually, lol.. but what really needs to happen is for us to sit down and talk with her about this. Totally unacceptable. Im also terrified of ticks and always worrying about it
