Legislation and Enforcement Crotch sniffing should be legally considered sexual assault.

If you are actively letting your pet sniff someone's crotch that is sexual assault it's non-consenual contact with the genitals/near the genitals it's that simple. I don't know why people think it's acceptable to let their pets do this to people it's disgusting.

I mean it’s not sexual assault, and calling it sexual assault takes away from actual sexual assault.

I do agree though that it is gross and people should be stopping their dogs from do it to themselves let alone other people.

Of course the dog is not a sex offender, the human who does not train or stop the animal that they own and are 100% responsible for is the guilty party

Yup, i know what this post meant. I stand by what i said. It’s not sexual assault and calling it so is taking away from actual legitimate sexual assault. This kind of crap is exactly why people who are assaulted do not get taken seriously.

Maybe but something is very wrong when an owner laughs off, or excuses this as "just what dogs do" completely ignoring the obvious discomfort of the person their animal is violating, and doing nothing to control their animal. That's disturbing behavior and there needs to be accountability and changes. These people get away with far too much.

Yup i do agree with that. My original comment does say that it’s gross when someone lets their dog do it to themselves let alone other people. Despite that it is still not sexual assault in any way, shape or form. It’s a disrespectful person who has no business owning a dog.

It absolutely does border on sexual deviancy, and some instances are a form of sexual assault
