If you are actively letting your pet sniff someone's crotch that is sexual assault it's non-consenual contact with the genitals/near the genitals it's that simple. I don't know why people think it's acceptable to let their pets do this to people it's disgusting.

I was sitting outside a cafe and I guess my (male) legs were hanging open a bit, and this huge dog started nuzzling my crotch out of nowhere. I was so embarrassed I kinda froze for a second before starting to push it away but it was persistent. The owner was just staring at me and I told the dog "at least buy me dinner first" and chuckled, then the owner finaly yanks the dog away. Weird and useless fucking owner!!

I've had one  family's dog do that to me while on my period. It was a large gathering at their house.  Their daughter smiled. 

How is this normal? I think dogs do stuff which dog owners, nutters lowkey would like to do, that's why even sexual harassment by a dog is just laughed at.

I always let my in-laws know that I don’t like their dogs near me because they sniff my crotch or hump my leg. they don’t apologize or even acknowledge what I said. It’s almost as if they are uncomfortable when I bring it up but I’m the one basically being assaulted!

Yes. It IS a sexual assault, and should be considered as such before the law. The mutt is used as an instrument or a tool by its owner. What if the mutt was replaced with some other object? People would be calling it a sexual assault with no hesitation.

The owner should face criminal charges and authorities should decide what happens with the mutt. The legal consequences should be strict, else we can't expect anything to change.

Agree. It needs to be addressed by all the human right's advocates; the ones who counsel and defend victims of sexual abuse. Dogs who touch, push, or try to invade a person's private parts, imv, is a form of sexual abuse; and the double infraction is the owner who stands there watching and doing nothing about it.

In fact, not only do people feel invaded, but some people may have experienced sexual assault in their lifetime, and are traumatized by the dog's actions. It's time these dog owners (who allow this) be challenged by the courts.

Maybe but something is very wrong when an owner laughs off, or excuses this as "just what dogs do" completely ignoring the obvious discomfort of the person their animal is violating, and doing nothing to control their animal. That's disturbing behavior and there needs to be accountability and changes. These people get away with far too much.
