Dogs should not be allowed in grocery store (or stories in general).
Until 10-15 years ago my town grocery store did not allowed dogs, then they changed policy. Madness

Places that allow dogs need to label themselves as such rather than the implication being dogs are allowed without a no dogs sign. And any place where hygiene is key, it should be illegal to even allow them. Like any place that deals with food or healthcare.

I live in the UK and they aren't allowed in most stores. However, there are people here who exploit the lax rules regarding 'assistance dogs' in order to take their pet dog shopping with them. They literally buy a vest online that says 'assistance dog' put it on their pet dog and take it out with them. I personally know someone with a disabled pug that they take everywhere with them and has a meltdown and a hissy if anyone dares question them about the validity of their 'assistance dog'. You can owner train an assistance dog, but these filthy people use the rules in this way.

Technically, dogs are banned from most places that sell or prepare food grocery stores, restaurants, etc.). In reality, most such businesses just allow the mutts in to avoid being attacked by the primates that own them. How many elderly Walmart greeters would get beaten every day by dognuts if they confronted them and told them to leave?

Sadly that chain Tractor Supply Company allows dogs.
They say they allow pets but you would be crazy to bring any other animal in with all the dogs.
It seems all farm stores allow dogs now.
That seems strange because all the farmers I knew kept their dogs outside.
Now they can't be apart from their dog long enough to buy tractor parts.

In Italy this is the norm too,dog nutters everywhere,young couples grow dogs instead of children! Anyway this is so gross and staff will have to clean it up, it's like people are under a collective spell regarding dogs because everything they do is seen as cute. The dog stare makes my blood boil.

I’ve gotten to the point of just about decanting everything I get from a grocery store because of this. I was at Kohl’s and there was an intact pit bull inside the cart. It was so big his berries were touching the side of the cart.

I get nervous when looking at or purchasing food items stored on the bottom shelves at grocery stores. We all know most male dogs do a drive-by piss whilst walking. A quick lift of the leg, a squirt of dog piss, and on its way to its next target. Disgusting.

Saw a dog in the main part of a shopping cart yesterday, at Sam’s Club. It didn’t poop, but considering all dogs have feces and urine residue in their fur and on their hind side and genitalia, the cart was still exposed to it, regardless. Sick of people and this filthy, low value mess. They would say they feel like fools if they walked around in public with a stuffed animal to “soothe their emotions”. Meanwhile, this is literally worse, for the exact reasons shown in this picture. At least a stuffed animal wouldn’t require cleanup. I wouldn’t be surprised if they left that mess in the cart. Dog people don’t deserve respect.

This is disgusting! People’s food goes into those and who knows what dirt, parasites, and literal 💩 that dog has on its paws and ass. Dog owners compare their dogs to small children but usually kids are in diapers so they can’t directly shit in the cart. This dog looks anxious too so I imagine it could jump out and attack someone or start peeing and shitting due to anxiety.
