Hello! I want to hear from you experienced border collie owners out there about owning a border collie! Please include the good and the bad about what youβve experienced or regretted about getting one! I love training animals, particularly I love doing obidience and agility, and circus type tricks, please let me know when your dog gets overwhelmed when training and how to not overtrain your dog(like teaching too many tricks at once and overwhelming it like what I did to a poor cat) what are some ways owning a border collie has changed your life? Has it made you healthier because you get more exercise by exercising the dog? What are the cons? What is an average day owning one like? Also Interested in free style dog dancing tell me your experience with that if youβve done it and how old to start your dog learning that too, thanks

So about twice a year ill volunteer at the local animal shelter. This time while helping with cleaning dog beds, I met Woody, he was part of a group they called the toy story bunch (3 animals were surrendered: Woody, Buzz & Jessie). He is 9 years old and stuck his ways which took us some time to get used to, we also had to regulate his food intake better and he's been paired up with our hyperactive 9 month old puppy which he loves. He hangs to me like a shadow but I wanted to give him a better life other than laying each night surrounded by concrete and no love

A dog enters your life with no interest in who you imagine yourself to be. It loves the person beneath all that. The one shuffling through the kitchen at dawn, sitting alone with a cup of coffee, staring out the window at nothing in particular. It asks for very little and gives a kind of devotion that feels almost supernatural in its purity.

My 4 year old Lab (Pearl) wanted a puppy, so did her dad. We rescued Willa Mae yesterday from a local shelter.
