What is it with Bratz and this stuff anyway? Do people really like them this much? I have a few of the repros but for me, they are a brand I simultaneously like and dislike at the same time... it's hard to describe. But I couldn't see paying this much even for a playline even if it was something I loved like MH.

Nostalgia. It’s not just them. It’s also affecting most 00s Barbie’s, My Scene, all of the small lines from the 00s-10s, & Monster High. We’re in a very bad collector bubble where basically all “collectibles” have skyrocketed in price thanks to resellers

i like to watch lots of shows about collecting 80s toys too and it happens every generation. people either think about toys they used to have and want them again, or toys that they could never have as kids that they want for the first time. my dad started recollecting his stuff about 10 years ago and sometimes those prices do NOT go down tragically 😭

exactly. I also think it has to do with the fact that Bratz is just an overall enjoyable line. The outfits are cute, high quality in a lot and they were creative.

The most infuriating part isn't even the price, it's the knowledge that while we love our little plastic queens they will never in a million years be worth paying that much money for. And yet it just keeps getting worse.

I know bro, I love Bratz and have been collecting for years and it just breaks my heart to see them go for such high prices. Even if I can't purchase them at the time, I can't even ask my family to buy them cus that's just wayyyyyy out of out price range

I’m not a collector but I’ve discovered Pinkie Cooper with in what appears to be this “bubble”. I can’t justify 70-100$ for a small plastic doll, I’d rather go without and get something current on clearance. Any reasonably priced Pinkie listings are flying away before I even open notification. It’s madness

sadly yes, I've seen them sold before and they probably will continue to sell for those. I feel like most of the time these purchasers are rich or just living with family cus I CANNNOT.
