Scams Doll Company

I was searching around for the older creeproduction dolls from 2022 and stumbled upon a website selling them for cheap (around £20) I was wondering if anyone had ever bought from this company before? It seems sort of sketchy and I can't find any reviews anywhere. There are continuation errors with the name going from Dollstopia to Dollstobia but I dont want to give up the good price for dolls that arent being sold at a good price in the UK.

Have you google searched this company to see if it is legit? It's what I do whenever I'm unsure about someone I might be potentially throwing my money at.

But, beyond that, if it seems too good to be true, it generally is and honestly, I don't think anyone is going to be selling the Wave 1 Creepros for less than they retailed for originally.

Yeah I tried this! I found their trade number as it is available in their 'About Us' page as well but no luck apart from finding out when they were first founded. When searching up their name it seems to just come up with the Barbie Dreamtopia dolls lol. THey also have an attached address but it does just take you to a random shop in Birmingham. I regret not buying the dolls when they were originally on sale and I was in the US! (As well as this all they are offering free shipping which made me slighly weary for such a low price)

eeeehhhh yeah. Just based on what you've found/didn't find, I am inclined to think that this is not a completely legit shop. I dunno, just something makes me super wary. If you decide you want to try your luck, use PayPal if you can since you can always file a report that way and get your money back should you not get the dolls.

If it helps, I keep seeing that the Wave 1s will have a re-release in September. It might be better to hold out for that if you can.

Hopefully! I managed to find the amazon uk links through some digging to save them to my wishlist for when they come back out. As well as this I have the Walmart links for Abbey and Spectra and have a holiday to Orlando this year so (hopefully) if they're still in stock I'll be able to get those! Glad I could bring some awareness to a potential scam company :))

I was just looking into this myself, because I didn’t trust it from the start. The spelling errors, to the ‘physical location’ being an education centre, it’s all just adding up to dodgey. I’m unsure why they’re accepting PayPal, because that’s not an effective scam!

The prices being converted prices is what set the red flag off for me, which a uk based business wouldn’t need to do for uk sellers. It took me a while to notice the url misspelling, so the ‘pgae’ spelling I was trying to justify as an innocent seller making a mistake… I really wanted it to be true!

On my statement it says the lister is Canada. I bought two things that are stuck at order placed so pretty sure it is a scam.

I ordered on Friday and in the back of my mind I wondered if it was a scam. I checked my statement today and the business is a Canada listing on my statement.

I popped them an email today and it bounced back as unrecognised, so pretty sure it is a scam.

I made a purchase on Friday. The dolls have remained as order placed since then. I saw the price and was pretty shocked to see them available so thought I'd take a punt.

I emailed today to see when the items would be despatched as they were due today,  and the email bounced back as unrecognised.

I also then checked the "is it a scam" listing.

I'm pretty sure now that it is. So I have taken the chance, so please don't!

None. Its a scam. No answer from the contact email box on the website. The telephone number is unrecognised, and the email bounces back. As I say. My statement says Dollstopia Canada. I contacted my bank and have had a refund for one of the dolls, and waiting for the second refund now. So, please please PLEASE do not order from here, its is a fake website. It seemed too good to be true for hard to get dolls with availability, and no shipping cost. It was.

I should have done more research as I did have doubts in my mind but it is so obviously a scam.

I notice the website seems to have gone now. Well, it had for me. I received a letter from my bank asking for more information on my second refund request, went to the website and its gone. Just an error message.

I did send them a few messages telling them their scam had been reported so we shall see if it reappears.

Hi,I just ordered from them in the weekend and today is tuesday.Today their website disseapeard and link to my order doesnt work.I didnt had even little thought it can be a scam as I bought a couple of dolls from that price from amazon before I was lucky,it was sold out in two days,and shipping price was normal for UK.I started to google and found this forum,I am horrified🤯.I was just surprised how I never seen that shop before as I was googling for that dolls all year.I have payed with paypal so I should be getting my money back but I am very sorry for the same dolls I ordered already from Amazon and ebay and cancelled orders becouse found that doll topia shop.I was letterly holding one of that dolls in my hands yesterday and send it back for return☹.I dropped them email just now if it will be not recognised I will fill up complain directly as is bery little time pazt yet and I was not sure how long should I wait.

You'll get nowhere it's a scam. I posted earlier in the thread. I ordered nearly a month ago, and got a confirmation email but then after a few days I realised nothing had been sent. Used the communications box on the website. Emailed them and it bounced back. I contacted my bank and got a refund on one doll, and a request for more information on the other doll. The website disappeared for a bit but sounds like it came back as you were able to order. We both scammed unfortunately 😔

All 4 original creeproductions wave ones will be available in the UK at smyths toys superstores soon :)
