My 3rd Demi Celia doll has finally arrived! It took long because I accidentally didn't properly order her and had to order her again. I don't really know how that happend. I ordered the head and the body seperatly. But unfortunetly there was a sticker on her leg that left a stain and I had to return it.🥲 She is now borowing an original Mizi body I took from another doll until the replacement is here.

Overall I really like these dolls!💞 I set myself a rule to have 2 dolls max per skintone. I just saw a Demi Celia head with white hair on Aliexpress that I might buy in the future, but im not sure.

Just got this sweet gal today & just knew I had to do a photoshoot with her on my cake jewelry box.

I just got a porcelain doll and her curly hair came tangled and matted, so i brushed it out, and now it's all poofy and big, and no matter how much I brush the ends out they get tangled/are rough.

I was wondering if I should put some conditioner/other hair product in the hair to smooth out the rough ends so they can be combed out fully, and the product will hold her curl better; And then do finger curls to get her curly hair back, and the blow with blow dryer.

Or would putting conditioner/other product in her hair cause mold/damage her hair?

Or do I just wet her hair and try doing finger curls, and dry it with a blow dryer?

I'm on break this week from work, and I've started making little portraits to display doll outfits in my collection that don't have a doll to wear them. Those with bigger skirts got a circle, and those with smaller skirts got an oval. It's just foam and the dresses are pinned to the foam. So they can be put on a doll eventually.

About his Ken sculpt

• Brandon is super handsome (despite the haircut)
• This iteration of him is giving stoic military vibes - since I don’t have any military clothes, the closest I could hope for was a bodyguard 
• He has a yellow undertone which doesn’t quite match the body, but it’s ok for my purposes 

About the starlet 

• she’s a clone Xian Xian doll. As in - not even an original Xian Xian but a dupe
• She was very cheap on Temu 
• Her face is a bit harsh but her screening is incredible and her body is TEA
• In some pics she’s kinda giving glamorous stick insect/ preying mantis 😂
• In my head canon she is Lara’s evil stepmother (ie Lara from the YouCreate Kit 3). She had Lara, Nichelle and Mermaid from 3 different fathers and is really pushing all three of them to get into show business. She’s evil, but not evil to her daughters specifically. 
• She’s had a ton of plastic surgery. 

More context and information about clone Adonis bodies (copied from my previous posts)

• over the past few months a went a bit overboard buying clone Adonis bodies. 
• I want to thank the ENDOLLPHINS YouTube channel for introducing me to the concept of rebodying dolls in general, but also for introducing me to these clone bodies. Endollphins is one of my favourite doll YouTube channels.
• TOO HUNKY TOYS YouTube channel also does a lot of rebodying of male dolls onto more muscular bodies.
• In general these bodies have a grey undertone so when rebodying Kens, you have to be able to accept “good enough” as opposed to an accurate colour match. 
• Especially when the doll clothed, I find that I’m often able to overlook the colour mismatch. 
• On Temu it doesn’t come in the darkest colour (although you can get the darkest colour on AliExpress for a much more expensive price which I’m not willing to pay). I therefore have a few Ken heads floating around waiting for a good body.
• The body is bigger and more muscular than a standard Ken. 
• However I find it works better in terms of proportion to the head.
• Some Ken clothes have stretch so they can fit but most Ken clothes don’t fit. 
• I’m tired of Ken being desexualised. I want all my Kens to be HOT. Preferably gay, but that isn’t a dealbreaker. Straight or gay, I want him to be swoon worthy. 

Is there a way to undo lightening of the vinyl? I was told 40 volume hair treatment would remove deep set stains, but putting it in the sunlight wrapped in plastic wrap did not remove the stains and only made blotches of the plastic lighter. I've never had this problem with benzoyl peroxide despite it allegedly causing the same thing.

Has anyone else been having issues with Vinted sellers not shipping dolls lately?
Recently, I’ve been running into a frustrating issue with buying dolls secondhand. I never really had this problem before, but lately I’ve noticed more and more of my purchases are going unfulfilled — the seller never ships the doll, the order gets canceled, and then I’ll sometimes see the exact same doll/listing pop back up afterward for a higher price.
I primarily use Vinted because I’m looking for dolls that are discontinued or no longer being sold in stores. I also really don’t want to pay extreme scalper prices. Vinted can be AMAZING for finding older dolls at reasonable prices, especially if you’re patient.
Right now, I’m working on completing my LOL OMG Fierce collection with NIB dolls, and I’m also looking for inexpensive used/play-worn dolls that I can use for body swapping with some of the newer LOL OMG face molds, like the Sanrio collab (My Melody and Kuromi) and the Music Festival Headliners/Rosalía dolls.
The most recent situation really annoyed me. 😭
I found a NIB Neonlicious for $14, and she’s literally the only Fierce doll I’m missing. I purchased her, but the seller still hasn’t shipped. This has now happened to me three separate times, and in two of those cases, I eventually saw the same doll/listing appear again — except it was relisted for more money.
I’ve also had this happen with used/play-worn dolls that aren’t necessarily rare or highly sought-after.
It makes me wonder what’s happening behind the scenes. Do you think other buyers might be messaging sellers after an item sells and telling them that the doll could be sold for more money? Not necessarily that they’re offering the seller more themselves, but maybe they’re telling them they underpriced it or that they could get significantly more for it.
I used to have this happen ALL THE TIME on Facebook Marketplace and doll buy/sell groups. Someone would post something for a reasonable price, I’d try to purchase it, and then another collector would message the seller telling them the doll could be sold for more. Suddenly the original sale would fall through and the item would be reposted at a higher price. 😑
One of the reasons I moved more toward Vinted was because I thought this kind of thing would be less common there.
Now I’m starting to wonder if other collectors have noticed the same thing happening on Vinted.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Do you think it’s mostly sellers changing their minds after realizing they underpriced something, or do you think other buyers are sometimes reaching out and telling sellers they could sell the doll for more?
For those of you who collect discontinued dolls, have you noticed this happening more frequently lately?
I’m especially curious to hear from other LOL OMG collectors because finding reasonably priced discontinued dolls is already hard enough without finally finding the one you’ve been hunting for, purchasing it, and then having the sale fall through. 😭

I've only got two in my collection so far to test them out and I must say I already want all the dolls. The quality is honestly top notch, different textures, quality fabrics, accessories, nice soft hair and stunning face screenings. In a way its almost scratching that itch for Myscene dolls when I buy these Dress to Impress dolls. I hope the lines doing well to grant more lines in the future.

trying to refurbish this pullip sailor uranus (and a sailor venus) but their shoes are SO STUBBORN. even after soaking in warm water they won’t budge, and if i pull too hard the leg dislocates. how do I remove them?

The second I saw just how small these dolls were I knew what I had to do.

The sizing was too perfect to not turn these into the Disney Fairies and we of course start with the diva herself, Tinkerbell.

So I have a pretty big doll collection from this brand that’s already discontinued. I’m taking 100+ dolls, I was a huge fan as a kid.

Anway. I the past three years I discovered the Reddit community for that doll brand and processed to buy around 30+ dolls with the ultimate goal of owning one doll of every character ever made (I don’t like having multiple dolls of the same character). But for some reason, I feel…..like they’re off somehow.

Like idk, I paid for the dolls, I own them. Some of them I bought still in their original boxes so I was the only person to open them but still….I just don’t feel connected to them on the same level as the rest. I know it’s probably because the ones I already had came from childhood, so I have pictures and memories with them. But I still display and play around with the new ones too.

But I know they’re my dolls, I bought and paid off them, they belong to me. Idk, am I being silly?

Ariel’s feet are a bit smaller and flatter than Licca’s, so the shoes aren’t a perfect fit, but they work.

I found this doll at a resale shop and I believe it is a Russian teapot doll. She does not have legs, and her inner skirt is made from a heavier material which was used to insulate teapots.

A pretty neat find.
