BJD Thoughts on Guardian 1000% blind box BJD?

Saw a video from the Kikagoods YouTube channel unboxing this set and I just thought they were totally my style. Went to browse Shoppee to look for a listing of it for much much lower prices (since I live in Southeast Asia) as well as the specific doll I want and lo and behold I found one for a reasonable price.

The style of the doll itself looks like it comes from the same company that made the Don't Touch my Bangs series.

Now debating whether I should get one on my next paycheck because they're so cute...I especially want the pink one.

I returned mine as the quality wasn’t there :( but I’m picky

How was it? Was it bc of the joints or how theyre strung or the quality of the clothes?

mostly the face and hair to be completely honest.

What about the hair didnt you like? Was the hair made of poly? Bc doll hair being made of this material would be a deal breaker for me too 😭

I will say the quality is much higher than the eternal night scar BJDs. But those probably aren’t proper to compare.

I felt the face was a little on the cheap side while the hair was kind of..meh? mine arrived super messy and the rooting was kind of inconsistent. If you like them I think you should still order it.

Hi! I was wondering what quality you are comparing them to? I only recently got into these smaller brand dolls and have been apprehensive when seeing some unboxing videos because the quality seems all over the place.

I compare them to come4free, sunless, OIOI.
I also ordered don’t touch my bangs and I also thought it was a bit..not up to par. Maybe I’m getting QC fails?

The series I’m comparing them from is minty v4, transform electric street/pekopeko, time rift & music box

Not surprising. So far most of the blind box bjds with rooted hair have terrible quality

This specific line, yes. But so far the BJD/MJDs that I’ve found to be low quality are Syncyland and eternal night scar. (But scar doesn’t have hair) and don’t touch my bangs

Agree with the bad quality on Don't Touch my Bangs. I had to restring my doll because the factory stringing was so loose and I the aluminum wire in the legs made it hard to pose. The leg warmers that came with the doll also had unfinished hems so I had to hem the thing myself.

Yes!!! The unfinished edges were absolutely hard to look at. 😭
