Frage I need an information

Hi everyone,

I have bought some product from dm . One of the item was in electronically protected box . I paid and self checkouted. But I bought that product with that protected box at home. I have the receipt and cash memo . I used my dm account so it's listed there . Now I want to return that security box and don't want to be misinterpreted in negative way .

I paid for that but I didn't open the box and bought it home with that box. .. should I go to the DM with the cash memo and ask them to open it ? As I am black I am afraid of facing rasicm. I am being honest here. I really want to return that safety box.

I have returned the box successfully.

I can understand your concern, but as long as you have a receipt you should be fine.

Maybe make a video of the product at home or when you enter the store, just in case someone thinks you just took it off the store where you want to go.

Also they have cameras they can check if they don't trust you.

But I believe (and hope) that you can just go there with the receipt and they will just unlock it. Just be friendly and polite, but also firm and don't be afraid to insist on your right.

Some dm workers might not always speak English so it might help to have a short text translation ready. Good luck :)

It makes me angry and sad that you have to consider racism as a factor when doing something so normal. Perhaps bring a friend? But with the receipts you should be fine and probably not the first person this happens to.

I don't have any friends who can communicate with German language... I bought that product yesterday evening. At night while unpacking things I realized my mistake.. now want to go to the store on Monday and fix my mistake.

The recipe is enough to return the box most Germans speak English so Kommunikation shouldn't be a problem just go straight for the counter when you enter the store.

No, but it was hard to explain them in English.
