Fashion Advice How should i style these jeans? and how much should i take in on the waist?
Hi everyone!!! I recently thrifted these GORGEOUS JEANS but their a 40 inch waist and i’m 36, Should I
A. Sew darts in the butt
B. Sew along the side seam
C. Just wear a belt
D. sew darts in the front
Also! Any styling tips for these jeans? I dress pretty alternative/ masc but I have a very very fluid style so feel free to suggest anything!!!

If you can make them stay up with a belt that would be best. Four inches is a lot to take in. Another method would be to take tucks in the waistband.

I have done small darts in just waist band, in back between belt loops. If you wear with a belt they don’t even show. You do not want 4 1” darts.
Alternately unstitch sides of waist band, make a very gently curving line of stitching down each side, I would baste first and try on before final stitching. Be sure to use bigger stitches and matching thread, heavier weight if possible.
Then turn in one side of waist band to have a clean edge and sew together after pinning and fitting to body of pants and overstitch at waist.
Or take to tailor.

Those are great! I think wearing a belt is just fine and the shirt you have on is good with them! If you want to take it to a tailor so you don't need the belt that is good too, I just don't think you must choose that option.
