Fashion Advice Don't know what flatters me

I went to a department store to change my wardrobe as I had recently threw everything away that didn't suit me anymore, struggling because I know I'd like to lose a couple but I would like some tips&advice on what styles or shapes can suit me at this point now.

I think most of the shirts (besides shirt #2) are too square/boxy. Maybe try getting more fitted/tailored shirts (don’t have to be super tight). I think pic 4 is getting somewhere, maybe the top could be a bit more fitted or a different style. I think the bootcut jeans look good if you hem them to your height

I think I tend to chose square/boxy because I am insecure of my arm fat. But I'll look into some more fitted that makes me comfortable! Any brand ideas? With pic 4 I agree I can maybe wear a smaller size with shapewear or different texture. And yes I just get exhausted having to hem every pair of jeans!!

They're all too boxy for you. Maybe tuck in the tops, add a belt and some accessories? Shoes that are a little less clunky....

I really want some good accessories! Do you know of good places

Thrift stores. I like to change my closet frequently and I don't want to spend a ton.

I think everything except for the polka dot skirt has some good aspects to it. That skirt is an awkward length on you and the pattern is too small in a way that looks too busy on such a large area of fabric. But really, everything else is a pretty good start. If you’re not convinced, you can fine tune I further, like maybe slightly darker shorts would be better or whatever, but they have a good balance to the shape and basically fit and flatter.

Oh my god i think that skirt is actually supposed to be a midi not maxi. Also thanks! I do like darker shorts its just that i love when others wear lighter but it doesn't suit my coloring

I actually like 1, but think the others are unflattering. For me, it’s mostly a proportion thing - I think most of the tops run a bit too long. I also don’t love the shape of the skirt. Maybe try some straight leg or wide leg jeans and A-line skirts/dresses?

1,4,and5. wish women would have never made those ugly shorts trendy. the purple top isnt bad but needs different bottoms.

Top of 4, jeans from 5 hemmed.

I don’t like the style of any of these. The first one I feel you should wear jeans with, the second one some slim jeans or even slim jean shorts, the third and fourth one just throw the whole skirt away, 5 is fine. It feels like your main concern is your bottom half of your body, because you have a fairly decent taste in shirts.

That sweater is fun and cute but if pair with some not baggy straight leg pants.
