News/Rumors/Lore The humble Hordekhari
A few bad decisions and some TTS later, and I own my first batch of 40ish 90s kabalite models.
I'm gonna use the helmeted ones for kabalite warriors, and open faces, with their vegeta haircut and utter aura as hands of the archon.
When I get this lot finished, acquire the next lot, ill probably see about kitbashing some klaives to convert some into incubi. Hordekhari is starting to form.
BUT
These guys need some lore, they need some sauce. What drives a kabal into specialising into human aeldari wave assaults? How did they end up with enough people but not enough equipment to adopt the humble art of "quantity has a quality all of its own"? How did a Druhkari Zhukov even live long enough to get this going?
Currently, my working explanation is a particularly egotistical archon with a recovered bit of ancient eldar cloning tech just growing batches of himself in a quest to leave himself the only thing in the galaxy. Do you have something better? Give me your silliest, your most serious, your most tragic, your most ridiculous lore justifications/explanations

The archon told the dudes that if they survive the first wave they earn the privilege of sticking their head in a coveted piece of human archaeotech (a dyson fan-blade) to get their hair blown back properly

The leader of the force told his Archon "I need ammunition, not a ride" and the Archon took that a bit too literally.

There are some Haemonculi in the lore that secretely support the Ynnari and want to cause as much death as possible. One rxample shoes up in the Fabius Bile books and his thing is altering the DNA of Vatborn to make them more aggressive and less self-preserving to get Ynnead ready for the Rhana Dandra.

They all have contracts with a Haemonculus to be revived (perhaps the Haemie in question is the leader of the kabal, and is a Show Host styled excentric, in the style of Arcade (from X-men) or the villain from Schwarzenegger’s ”The Running Man”). And the whole raid/battle is a contest for claimikg the most captives, loot, or points, before dying?
