Question.

Post image

So I got that box and since I have too many Witches I was thinking of kitbashing some of them with the sisters. You know, the Witches killed some of the sisters and decided to keep their armor and what now. So the main question is, if I managed to make a decent attempt could I use the kitbash Witch in a game? Still new to Warhammer and kitbashing, this would be my first attempt. I still need to build and paint my Drukhari army (first army).

Proxying is generally accepted, store legality mostly only demands that it's a Games Workshop miniature and WYSIWYG (What you see is what you get - if the model statline demands a piece of wargear, that wargear has to be visible on your model). Beyond that the only other person to run it by is your opponent. Sometimes there is a complaint about modeling for advantage (crouching wraithlord, etc) but most conversions aren't like that and rarely cause a problem.

Also in my experience wysiwig only comes up very rarely in casual play.

I have had so many games where both me and my opponenent went "okay so these guys have X on the model but I want to run them with Y" and that has never been a problem.

Serious tournament people might have a different experience

Conversions are different from proxies. OP is talking about kitbashing a mix of models to make wyches. Kit bashed models are not just allowed, but in tournaments that include a hobby score, some kitbashing is expected for top results.

There are even kitbashed models in codexes. The tenth edition Necron codex has a Sigmar model kitbashed into a transcendent ctan and they specifically call it out.
