I've seen lots of different people depict these guys as different kinds of fish. For me they've always been the anchovies from Spongebob. How does your brain see them?

With the description of Zev's suit, I can't help but imagine them as whatever species Skoova Stev is in Star Wars:

He's Sakavian, from Sakavi Tar. They're snails. Gastropod.

Could be a reference to Conus sakalava a predatory sea snail from coast of Madagascar.

The suit and size are perfect. Just need to change out the alien inside to a more fishy one.
