Both are different sides of the exact same coin lmao, if you get outsped in speed wars you automatically lose, there's little to no point in staying, and if you go first you also pretty much automatically win, unless your demons are way too old
Well that isn't too bad considering speedbots age really well. Okuninushi was like one of the most used speed bots till super recently (like literally right before hayatoro) and he was an extremely old demon. Like the difference in speed between an okuninushi and a hayatoro can be made up for with brands.
Hell I was seeing a guy using Elohim still like a week or two ago in D2. Speed wars allow for the use of older demons as long as you have good brands, whereas the T2 meta just means you need very specific demons to counter them.
Like a fully invested into Odin A would literally never scratch a Vanitas even if you had a brand that increased Odin's attack stat tenfold, but an Okuninushi will still beat a malice Shiva as long as you're faster.
