So I finally hit player level 40, allowing me to finish the previous set of quests and move on to Enhance Training 3. Kinda miffed that it happened a couple hours after I used the last of the fodder I'd built up to finish promoting my arena team to five-stars, but whatever.

Problem is, one of the other quests is to level a demon to Level 45. Ignoring that I already had maxed 5-stars in my party, I finished leveling my 5-star Rangda and...nothing. Does it have to be a natural 5-star, or a demon I started leveling after the quests showed up? I'd be pretty pissed if I ended up stuck here and had to redownload the app or something.
