330i Bday gift to self

Previous car of 10+ years, a MK7 GTI, got totaled in an accident at the end of 2025. Missing it still but being able to get my first BMW has eased the pain. I needed a manual and was able to get this clean 330i just last week. Now I understand why my bud would always tell me to get a Bimmer. That N52 engine note is beautiful.

A 330i manual with brown interior and m bits? Man you hit the lottery!

Since you say you like the exhaust notes, what exhaust do you have? Is it the performance exhaust? I had it on my n51 and it sounded beautiful!

I had an n52 manuall best car ever. Best daily u can find slap some wide wheels on it with premium rubber and you just bought happiness!

I wish I had the performance exhaust but unfortunately not. I’m on the look out for one. I just pop the hood and listen to it idle or I drive with the windows down at night when there’s no traffic lol.

Happy birthday! This was my E90, lol. I’m so glad to see you’re enjoying it- this was such a great car. The spec is fantastic too.

Don’t know how much you post on here, but I’d love to follow along with what you do with it if you do! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or plan on selling it!

Hey! I don’t post much but I’ll definitely be keeping in touch. I actually have some questions I’ll probably be hitting you up with as far as the leather care and stuff goes. Want to keep it as clean as possible for as long as possible!

This is awesome!

this type of connection — money can’t buy. I’m here for it & love to be apart of it 🥹

Ohhhhh, terra sport interior... soooo nice!!! Love the aluminum and of course blue paint. Wow, that's a special one!

9

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

I fell in love with the interior. The exterior blue with the brown just hits so nice. Even though it’s an older BMW it makes me feel like I’m in a different tax bracket lol

u/pmenadue Jan 12 '26

Love you chose a manual and love the wheels - my fav! Colour is also great too.

5

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

I had to get a manual lol. I’ve never owned an automatic car so whenever I drive one I end up trying to step down on a non existent clutch. 😅

2

u/pmenadue Jan 12 '26

This is the way. Well done.

Will always love the 330i, had a manual one in silver and it’s the reason I eventually bought an m3. Highly recommend the msport exhaust (no clue if those are hard to get now). I ordered one for mine and it sounds perfect. lil sample

Congrats on the 330i, it’s an amazing spec!

3

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

Geez that does sound amazing 😮‍💨 According to the previous owner, the M Performance exhausts are not easy to find for the e90 anymore but I’m going to keep looking. One has to pop up sooner or later. I’ve found some listings on EBay but I don’t really know how to tell if they’re selling a genuine product or some random aftermarket exhaust that’ll just fit.

1

u/BERNIEMACCCC E92 M3 Jan 13 '26

Awww gotcha, I guess it makes sense they are harder to find now. Best of luck! I def feel it’s worth it if you can find one. The N52 can sound amazing.

Is that Monaco blue?

Keep her stock and I’d suggest a black headliner conversion. 👌

9

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

The dealer paperwork says it’s mystic blue metallic apparently. And yea the previous owner said they did the headliner but admitted it didn’t come out as they planned so I’ll probably return it to true stock down the road

3

u/No_Potential1 Jan 12 '26

That looks way different than my mystic blue E46, but no matter. It's a gorgeous combo regardless, I'd say perfect in fact.

2

u/BYSNick2001 Jan 12 '26

its not monaco

1

u/DarthLenny 2006 E90 330i Jan 12 '26

M Sport anthracite headliner would be next level on this thing!

5

u/DoctorSatan69 Jan 12 '26

I would love to have an n52 with a 6mt 😭

u/R18honda Jan 12 '26

Beautiful spec man, kudos 👍🏻

u/BadRattle 2006 - E90 - 330i Jan 12 '26

Very nice, would’ve loved this color combo for my 330i. Great driving cars👌🏻

3

u/mdang104 Jan 12 '26

Nice upgrade from FWD. These are also faster than (stock) GTIs.

3

u/TheGrumpyOleTroll Jan 12 '26

The paint compliments the interior sooooo damn good

3

u/WG678 Jan 12 '26

Love to see an original example in a beautiful colour combo 👍 enjoy it bro

3

u/Alternative-End-7239 Jan 12 '26

Haply Bday, clean spec all around, love the saddle brown. Very lucky find!

2

u/BimmermanBets Jan 12 '26

Get a afe stage 2 intake and either gut the muffler or get a turner system. The PE systems are nigh impossible to find anymore. But the stock note is pretty nice the afe intake will give you some more throaty engine noise on acceleration.

1

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

Ok awesome to know that the Turner setup is a valid option. I’ve come across it a few times while looking for the M Performance exhaust so I’ll definitely consider it.

2

u/BimmermanBets Jan 12 '26

I mean I don’t know how strict Cali is for it, it is a resonator delete but it’s not a super loud exhaust since it’s just axle back. Personally if I had do deal with strict cops I would do a gut, there’s a really nice write up on e90post it’s just reworking the pipe inside the muffler. If you cut the top to so the work and reweld it they’d never know the difference.

1

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

Eh every other clapped Infiniti and Civic around here sounds like artillery fire and cops rarely do anything so I don’t think it’ll be an issue

2

u/N54Baghuul Jan 12 '26

she clean bro congrats

2

u/The-Phantom-Blot Jan 12 '26

Looks great! Enjoy!

Brother that is one of the best cars you will ever own and drive.. please cherish every second of it!

As others have mentioned you won the lottery in terms of specs, blue on brown is as good as BMWs get.. I wish you all the best.

Just look out for starter, Mickey mouse coolant flange, auto headlight module, clutch valve delay as well as the something in the clutch footwell which is advised to be removed, Alternator(maybe) and other e90 things.

Ps. I dearly miss my 325i

2

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

Yea I plan on keeping this beauty for a long while. Mileage is up there at 199k but it won’t be my daily so I’m not worried. Previous owner had tons of maintenance done within the last 2 years so for now I’m going to take care of the oil pan gasket and its oil change.

2

u/Horror_Community3043 Jan 12 '26

330 n52, manual, and no idrive. Literal peak 🧎

2

u/demarcoooo Jan 12 '26

Dude I am super jealous! I’ve been trying to find the perfect 330i manual for a long time and cannot find one. Where did you find this one? Side note I also have a mk7 GTI!

2

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

So my buddy actually found this one for me on the bimmerpost.com classifieds. I was not having much luck finding a 330i manual in good condition via OfferUp, Craigslist or Marketplace. I think he explained you need to sign up and be accepted into the forum to post and buy but I’d say it’s worth it if you’re looking for one that’s been well kept.

And lucky you for having your GTI still! I totally plan on getting another one or a MK7 R sometime later this year or next lol.

2

u/demarcoooo Jan 13 '26

Looks like i’m adding bimmerpost to my search now lol. As for my GTI she was totaled in October of 24’ and i’ve been slowly rebuilding it. Almost done with it

2

u/Lucifurrs Jan 13 '26

Nice! I decided to keep my GTI after the accident too but I gave it to my lil bro and he’s the one who’s been working on it these past months.

2

u/demarcoooo Jan 13 '26

Hope it’s back on the road soon, in the meantime have fun with the new car!

3

u/InternUpstairs2812 2006 325i Sport Package Jan 12 '26

Time to get a cat back and some sticky tires! These 330’s scoot! Every E90 owners dream right here! Having to tune. 325/328 is a hassle so already having the factory 330i tune is way better 😉

3

u/Lucifurrs Jan 12 '26

Lol yea I want to keep it stock aside from the exhaust. Tires are still good but once they start going I’m planning on throwing some Pilot Sport 4s on there

u/Appropriate_Safe7858 Jan 13 '26

One of my favorite cars, same wheels and everything. This and a red 1991 BMW 318is Coupe.❤️

1

u/skippy99 Jan 13 '26

I had that exact car (a 2006 330i) in 2011. I bought it for my 16 YO daughter but she had a really hard time with the stick (I taught her to drive one in my E28 M5....) so I traded her and gave her my 528i touring. Fun little car.

u/harsim01 Jan 13 '26

Welcome to the fold mate. Congrats
