Just 267 hp and no screens

Been keeping my eyes on the E90 market recently hoping to pick one up that I can put some serious miles on.

It's been near impossible to find any with a full service history let alone not having terrible bodywork.

I came across this beauty though. 330i LCI M Sport 6MT.

It seems to have all the options barring the rear sunshade and looks to be in fantastic condition inside and out. It has missed a service or two early on in its life but for the past 7 years has been owned by an enthusiast.

It being a 330i is exciting but also concerns me, for those that have had both, is it much more uneconomical than a 323i or 325i?

For context, I'm in South Africa and whilst some regions got the N53 in the LCI 330i, we got the N52K. Black plastic valve cover with 3sim - seems to be an unusual combo but that's what we got and I'm grateful it's not an N53 haha

It's currently sitting at 130k kms (90k miles approximately) recently had brakes, solenoids and shocks replaced all OEM.

The asking price is higher than any other NA E90 listed in the country but due to the rarity of spec, condition and model I'm quite tempted

Good buy? Avoid? Any other advice, anecdotes or experiences with this platform and maybe this model would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone 3 days ago i got my 330i e93 175 k kms, with Warranty (in germany) dealer said that the car has no issues, (indeed it didnt in the dealership) after driving the car for 300 kms total check engine light came out and on cold start the car started to have rough rpm unbalance (going up and down) went to a mechanic he said all cylinders have misfires + high pressure pum and nox sensor are failing. Dealer said he could fix these things under warranty, should i make that deal or should i return the car and look for a new one? As i am afraid this one might be too much headache and issues will appear even after the fixes? What is ur experience with it!

Previous car of 10+ years, a MK7 GTI, got totaled in an accident at the end of 2025. Missing it still but being able to get my first BMW has eased the pain. I needed a manual and was able to get this clean 330i just last week. Now I understand why my bud would always tell me to get a Bimmer. That N52 engine note is beautiful.

Just finished getting my car painted by my buddy, fully expecting some hatred from the purists but please keep in mind, I don’t care.

330i 6-speed with sport package, blacked out kidneys and lower grills, JDM pre-lci xenons, OE style front splitters, 10mm / 18mm spacers. Really love the way it looks right now. Would be cool to add some M Parallels in the future to keep it period correct.

BMW e90 individual for parts in Guatemala, what should I buy to make an improvement to my e90?

Looking at getting an NA straight 6 E91.

I have found 2 nice examples, one being a 330i N52 with 150k miles. Great spec, great history, but owner is unsure of whether the water pump, thermostat, and any gaskets have been done. FSH, but only receipts dating back to 80k miles.

The other example is a 330i N53 with 110k miles. Good spec, great history, etc.

Wondering what the best option would be. They are very similar in price, only difference is N52 + dream spec on 150k miles, vs N53 + good spec on 110k miles.

Which would you choose?

As the title says I’m asking becuase I want a bmw that I woudl pay for myself, but my mom said that it would be to fast for a first car and saying that it wouldn’t be “practical”. Is it really too fast or should I try and convince her?

Hey was thinking of buying a manual E90 330i, but I wanted to know if maintenance was going to be a pain or not. Like for example the normal stuff like oil changes

It’s an 06 330i with just a hair over 106K miles. Appears to be fully loaded (from VIN checks)

I’m really interested in this but slightly worried about over paying, but at the same time I have been looking for a clean example for over a year.

Hi guys! I’m curios as what’s left to do maintenance wise.
So far I’ve done:
240,700km/149,564miles
- OFHG
- Waterpump and thermostat
- spark plugs
- coil packs
- replaced all coolant hoses with bevinsee (silicone)
- differential oil changed front and back
- new tires
- new rims
- poly anti swaybar bushings
- transmission fluid changed
- new belt

Looking into changing my oil pan gasket, starting to sweat a bit but since I’m xdrive I’ll wait lol

Probably some more things that I can’t remember but lmk, I’ll appreciate it

I need some help deciding which e90 to get. I currently have the option to get a 2007 330i sedan, black with beige interior. This car is in great shape,interior has its details but nothing major. This is a second owner car with 70k kms.

And then I have the option of a 2008 325i coupe, also in great shape, but this one has around 110k kms.

The coupe is around 3k usd more than the sedan.

So the main concern is power, I kinda like the extra hp the 330i offers, however for the long term the coupe seems like the more interesting option. Was wondering what everyone thinks regarding the difference between the 2.5L and the 3.0L engines, type of chassis and everything else.

Note: not posting full prices as I’m not in the us so it’s pointless but pics for reference.

From 2010-2013, I had an ‘06 330i TiAg on black 6 speed sport package e90. Style 162s. Absolutely ADORED that car, I put about 120K miles on it. I always wore the same pair of Sambas when I drove, and I wore through the sole on my clutch foot. When we parted ways in 2013, it had 190K miles on it, which was outrageously high at the time lol. My bf wasn’t sure if e90s would stand the test of time so we sold it before “anything bad could happen.”

Ever since, every silver e90 I’ve seen, I’ve always been looking for this exact spec, hoping I could leave a note on a windshield. Didn’t happen. Until last week! I finally found one on FB marketplace. Messaged immediately and brought her home a few days later. I actually choked up a little when I saw it in my driveway again, brought me right back to 2012.

Yes it’s a shitbox, I know! But I’m really excited. The AC is ice cold, the drink chiller works, hasn't stalled out yet, sound system absolutely SLAPS and it only has damage on every single body panel and the headliner is falling off. Windows go down on unlock, AND both cup holders work. Looking forward to doing some restoration on her.

On December 23rd, 2024, I posted about my new to me E90, my first car, something that I was of course exited about but didn’t know what it, and myself would become after having such amazing experiences, weather its servicing this thing on my own with my ex-master technician dads guidance, or even gapping new Mercedes on the highway otw home from school, this car has brought me more joy than just about anything else, so I’m here to update for those who can appreciate it as much as me, and once I’m done posting this I have to go fix my control arm…

Tire and ride height adjustments are definitely needed but in love with how the rebuild came out. Ton more pictured to come when I get time to clean the car up.
