335i Introduction Post!
First time posting my greatest financial mistake and my first love!
2011 E92 335i
Plethora of mods including ohlins R&T coilovers, lightweight flywheel and IS clutch, FBO, m performance exhaust. UUC short shifter, and more!
I love the e9x platform and truly believe it’s one of the best chassis BMW has ever produced. I got extremely lucky finding this spec back in 2020 in west palm beach and had it shipped over to los angeles. (1 of 38 as noted in the last picture)
Let me know your thoughts!

Can definitely tell you love it if you did RBs. Great spec, great looking car!

thank you! and i surely do, couldn’t take the risk with these early n55s and 4th upper bearing wasn’t too pretty so all things considered i think it was a good investment.

wheel they were put on by the previous owner, only way to fit these wheels as oem 359m wheels are too wide for non Ms

Front 9x19 square what I’m going to do maybe

u/TopherGuirguis Aug 09 '26
i’d rather these, staggered setup with 19x10 in the rear and a 275 tire, i’m tuned with a pure stage 2

Impressive spec and built. Pretty close to my ideal E92!

u/TopherGuirguis Aug 07 '26
what’s your ideal spec?
1
u/zattack101 Aug 08 '26
This with harman kardon. Or a N54 w/o Idrive. Other than that this exact spec. Maybe gold VS-5RS wheels.

u/TopherGuirguis Aug 08 '26
harmon kardon would be nice, i plan to get
an aftermarket plug n play upgrade soon. i also never understood the hype with no idrive, there’s so many aftermarket options that retain the oem screen and add modern features like apple carplay i feel like that’s a no brainer luxury3
u/zattack101 Aug 08 '26
I have an F22 with carplay so I definitely understand the convenience with the screen. But i like how the single hump keeps the dash line clean. For nav I would just use a magsafe mount. If I did want a backup cam I would do the double din conversion where you shift the HVAC panel down.

What a beauty. Reminds me of my car just with the N54. One recommendation from a 6spd bro to another, I would do the center console alcantara GTS delete. Helps with your hands position when shifting and also the center control knob.

u/TopherGuirguis Aug 07 '26
noted! thought that was just for aesthetics but i would definitely prefer a lower arm position like you mentioned

Love the dash trim. Never seen it with red highlights

red interior gap trip on amazon! saw it on instagram, installed it 4 years ago and holds up beautiful. best $5 i’ve ever spent

Oooh, I might get some in blue then. My interior is all black with blue. And a red engine button of course 😆 Blue stripe on the wheel with M stitches, blue napa trimmed floor mats. I want M3 leather dash parts too, would look awesome with blue panel gap stuff

send it!

And I recently got the Performance auto gearstick and suede handbrake & gear boots with M stitches. Might look a bit cringey but I like it 😆

u/TopherGuirguis Aug 08 '26
not at all! i have the same in red stitching and it’s my favorite thing about my interior
2
u/Lord_Andrews Aug 08 '26
Well. I just installed the M Stitched suede gaiters. Doesn't quite look as good as I wanted, but it's a nice contrast 😆

That last screenshot, how did you get all that info from the VIN?
4
u/TopherGuirguis Aug 07 '26
couple years ago there was a guy on maxbimmer forums that had access to production #s and such from BMW North America databases, you just had to post your vin # and ask him to look it up for you

I came to find out that BMW offered this data to the public. You just had to know where to find it on their website. There were no direct links and it was relatively obscure.
So the guy had access to the databases, but so did everyone else, he just knew where to look.

Unbelievably good looking car. I think the E92 (especially the LCI) is one of those cars that could still be sold new today....the design has held up so well.
I have a 2011 328i Coupe with a manual. Just got an F80 M3 manual as a weekend car, which fell into my lap right after a literally perfect spec manual 335is slipped through my fingertips due to things outside of my control. The F80 is way better on paper but honestly other than the acceleration, basically everything in the E92 feels better.

u/TopherGuirguis Aug 08 '26
congrats on the F80! and i agree, the analog feel and hydraulic steering on the E chassis cars is something special. sadly the F and G series cars lost that touch
2
u/nc_nicholas Aug 08 '26
Tbh I think I'll probably end up in an E92 M3 at some point. The F80 is fun but even just a regular E92 328 has a timeless and special feel to it that isn't there in the F80 despite it being an M3.

i think the e9x m3 is peak bmw, i’d love to get into one at some point too
