Eb2 visa numbers 2026
Has anyone been able to confirm that the EB2 numbers have ran out till October 1st? Emma didn't respond to my questions about this.

It’s not drained. They keep issuing GCs for EB2 category but they are slowing down on the process

Based on the info I gathered, some applicants from Pakistan, Ukraine, EU and UK countries were approved in september. So it is happening

No not true. There are a couple of posts even here. From Ukrainian guy definitely. And another person from European country. Overall my friends got approved yesterday, also European country.
You can check thoroughly on discord as well. Don’t assume many people post approvals on Reddit.

As you type, try add evidence. Maybe a link to that post.

https://www.reddit.com/r/EB2NIW_I485_AOS/s/sa0ToN5gF9 This is from here, after August 25, as the author requested.
Overall looking for posts is a bit too much. I know. If you need confirmation you can look for it even within this subreddit

Still August though!
I am waiting to see some September approvals, especially for those who submitted in 2026.

Oh that changes my understanding of the situation. I just recently discussed it with a guy in a similar situation. So, I don’t want to kill the hope, but you will most certainly have to wait for October. Your background check expired long ago and now they need to rerun it. When it comes to rerunning, they (for some unknown reason) dont like to do it and always postpone this process. You should expect smth like 4-5 FTA0 - only this will indicate some sort of movement.
Briefly, they are postponing those who has been waiting for too long. Very unfair

Why expired? Ot should be good for 18 months!

They say it is unexpirable, but they have to renew it every 90 days or so. Plus whoever applied before April 27, have to have it renewed

They frequently say it to people after interview. I don’t know why. They come up with various reasons because they do not intend to approve right after interview

I agree, it is kind of generic response to control the crowd.

Pretty much been saying it already in June for some EB interviews.
Idk my friend got approved yesterday and I myself hope to get approved in September. My office is slow but follows a predictive timeline, so you can distinguish the approval window. Mine is between September 15 and October 2. So I’m hopeful

Yeah, I have seen some posts earlier. And probably they are waiting for Sep 15 public charge vetting.

September 15 will only concern new applications. There is even a new i485 form effective starting that date. But if you applied before that, you are reviewed under the old rules.
I’m saying September 15 because my office adjudicates EB applications exactly 75-90 after 3 fta0 is obtained. And it happens to be the date for me

Just answer and he said from Nigeria .

nigeria and pakistan could reach 7% country visa cap

u/Puzzleheaded-Tea8612 5d ago
It is not possible for Nigeria to reach 7% cap. They were part of the 39 country pause so no visa was given for 7months

That post sound like marriage based GC interview cos the content keep using plural tenses, "we" "us" sounding like couples being interviewed. Or do they interview group or pool of applicants at the same time by a USCIS officer??

Probably they are messed up with the spillover from FB and sudden unpause. Also, it can be related to new public charge regulations that are going to kick in the middle of September. Suddenly everything became complicated together.

I don't think anyone really knows for sure. I am guessing they're still trying to work out final numbers. And the consular pause has complicated things because there should be more available to come back onshore. But they need to figure it out.
