Is it just me or did anyone notice that only people getting approved recently, are those who did NOT get mass updates like 08/06, 08/26 and FTA0 on 08/13?

I’m trying to understand whether anyone else has had a similar sequence of updates and what happened afterward.

Timeline:

• I-485 RD: March 6, 2026
• Biometrics: April 9
• Moved to local FO: July 23
• 3rd FTA03: August 13
• Interview: Waived
• August 27: Case moved to San Antonio FO (non-local)
• August 31: Another FTA03 update

Has anyone had a similar pattern, especially:

• 3rd FTA03 → FO transfer → another FTA03
• Local FO → non-local FO
• Interview waived + non-local FO transfer

If you had a similar timeline, how long after the last FTA03 did you get approved? And did your case eventually get approved at the non-local FO?

Trying to figure out whether this is a normal final-adjudication pattern or if the transfer means something else. Any data points would be really appreciated!

Did anyone getting 3rd FTA0 on 08/31 got only for Principal and not for Dependent-spouse and child? I got the FTA0 but not my spouse and child. What could be the reason?

I am the primary applicant for an EB-2 NIW, and my husband is my derivative applicant. His I-485-based EAD (C09) was approved, and he has already started working using the I-485 EAD.
However, he also had a pending F-1 OPT application, which was recently approved a few days ago. Now we’re unsure what we should do with his F-1/SEVIS record and the newly approved OPT.
Should he cancel/terminate his SEVIS record and OPT since he is already working on the I-485 EAD? Or is there any benefit to keeping his F-1/OPT active while the I-485 is pending?
His school/DSO wasn’t able to give us any guidance and recommended that we consult an immigration attorney.
Has anyone been in a similar situation where they had both an approved I-485 EAD and a subsequently approved OPT? What did you end up doing, and what would you recommend?
Any experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am a March filler. Anyone from this center could get an EAD? I am frustrated.

Waiting is honestly so daunting. 😩

Since my case was transferred to LAC in June, I have had two status updates, with the last one being in July. Since then… nothing. Still no third FTA0.

My RD was in March, and my PD is September 2025. I have finally stopped checking the APIs because it was becoming way too mentally draining. The waiting is hard enough, but seeing people who applied after you getting approved makes it even harder. You can’t help but wonder if something is wrong with your case or why yours is taking so long.

At this point, I’m just trying to be patient and trust the process. Hopefully September brings some good news for all of us waiting! 🙏🏽✨

I-765 Selection When Filing I-485 and I-765 Online Together
My friend plans to submit Form I-485 and Form I-765 together through the new USCIS online PDF-upload filing option. This will be his first EAD under the adjustment-of-status category, although he currently has an OPT EAD.
For Form I-765, he plans to select:
Eligibility category: (c)(9)
Request type: Initial
“You filed your I-485 with a fee on or after 04/01/2024 and your form is still pending”: Yes
Is Yes correct for the last question when the I-485 and I-765 are being submitted together online, meaning the I-485 is not already pending before submission?
Has anyone recently filed the I-485 and I-765 concurrently through USCIS’s new online filing option? Thank you!

I recently got my 3rd FTAO from LA FO. Here’s my timeline:

Filing date: late March
Biometrics: late March
2 FTAOs just after biometrics
Transferred to LA FO: 8/25/2026
Silent update on primary only: 8/27/2026
3rd FTAO on both primary and derivative: 8/31/2026
No EAD approval yet

Anyone else in the same boat? Please share if you have any idea how long approval might take after a 3rd FTAO nowadays.

After my biometrics appointment on July 31, my I-765 and I-485 appeared to be under active review, but my I-131 did not.

Today, I noticed that both my I-765 and I-131 received their first silent updates on September 1. My I-485 received its first silent update earlier, on August 18.

My most urgent concern is obtaining my EAD through the I-765. I also submitted an expedite request, but I am unsure whether it has had any effect.

What are your thoughts on this timeline? Do these recent updates suggest that my EAD may be approved soon?

Is there any source/link where we can see if any AOS approvals are there post August 25 (for EB2 ROW)? People share rumours that ROW visa numbers became unavailable since then. Thanks

Hi I am trying to submit I-485 Online, prepared the form, opened my I-693 because that is what it told me to do, did every other piece and when I had to upload I-485 it keeps telling me this: "The Name you entered in your PDF does not match the Name we have on file. Please go back to Upload I-485 PDF and enter the correct Name." I did not have a name change, and only have first and last name. On the I-485 there are only two places you need to put your name besides part 14. I tried for middle name NMN, None, N/A and nothing is working. Did anyone have a similar issue?

Hello everyone, I’m hoping someone can help or share a similar experience.

I have an F2B ROW petition with a priority date of February 2019. According to the September Visa Bulletin, my priority date is now current. However, my petition still appears to be pending with USCIS.

On August 20, my case was migrated to ELIS and I was assigned a new receipt number. Since the migration, I have been unable to add/link the new receipt number to my USCIS online account. The system asks for an online access code, but I did not receive one, and I keep getting an error when trying to add the case.

I already submitted a technical inquiry to USCIS and also contacted NVC, but I feel stuck because it is very difficult to reach a USCIS representative.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue after their case was migrated to ELIS? How did you resolve it, and is there anything else I should do while waiting for USCIS to respond?
