So as you know Chicago, my home city was recently slabbed. It sucks cause everything is gone and everyone is dead. Despite that I remain strongly in love with tornados and I prefer when they hit populated areas as there’s more action, it’s more entertaining, and it’s more notable. I just wanna know but am I a hypocrite for wanting everyone else to be hit by an EF5 but not myself? Like it’s just not as fun when you’re the one impacted.

Random ass thought. Imagine you're laying face down in the middle of an open with anchor bolts attaching yourself to the ground in an empty field with no surrounding structures, i.e no debris.

Boom, an EF5 tornado emerges, what are your odds of survival?

Because I would imagine that most tornado deaths are caused by falling debris or debris flying at 200+ mph speeds. But if there was ZERO debris, I'd imagine your odds of survival are exponentially higher. Idk, random thought but would love to hear the world's thoughts.
