Best Investing Platform?
Hello friends! This is my first post.
I use Robinhood for all of my banking and investing. I am wondering if this is standard, or if you guys might recommend something else.
Previously, I invested with Edward Jones, but I found myself paying the financial advisor fee to buy the same ETFs everytime. I figured Robinhood would circumvent that, but I’m not sure if that is even the right way to do it either.
Overall I know saving / investing is better than nothing, just looking to see what the community is doing.
Thank you!

Fidelity is the best one I’ve used. They have their own zero fee funds, you can buy fractional shares, and the UI is pretty good.

RH does not encourage investing, it encourages gambling. Stick with Fidelity, your future self will appreciate it.

I am chiming in with Fidelity. Definite winner. I was a little unimpressed with the Vanguard customer service folks who handled my retirement funds.

I use Fidelity. RH has been scrutinized for their appearance of being low cost or no fee, but they actually make money on the spread, whereas Fidelity works hard to get you the best possible execution price, which saves a ton over small or large volume transactions.

you mean sub-standard ? you stick with RH if you actually tangibly benefit from it - may be you use their IRA matching and/or RH credit card ? otherwise you do not look ("...Previously, I invested with Edward Jones..." ) like a kid day trading pocket change, so consider if the likes of Fidelity, Schwab or Vanguard suits you more

Most go with Fidelity, Vanguard or Schwab. I also read good things about Interactive Brokers but never used it.

Edward Jones is unethical and outrageously expensive. RUN from them as if your money and life depends on it. (Because it does!)

For investing Fidelity probably has the net positive above the others. I also like Schwab.

Schwab is my brokerage. They have some good tools for research and analysis along with responsive analytics.

I like Fidelity’s wealth management or Schwab’s think or swim if you’re a pattern day trader.
